Honestly, all my friends irl are added, I hate being spammed with them. We can turn off trading and messages, so why not friend requests?

support i kind of like everyone i see spamming me with friend requests. it helps me keep track of who i've met before. at the same time, i get that not everyone is like me, and since there would be an option to do so, i'd be fine with it.

Because, you can ignore what you don't want and you can acknoledge what you like. "Fast, and suffer alone" Feast, and friends." But "friends" is a metaphor, and not literally "friends" as in this post.
