and what sport do you play?
i play football and do Push/Pull
AxBx, rinse and repeat
A: Push
Bench Press 3 x 5
Overhead Press 3 x 5
Skullcrushers 3 x 7
Weighted Calf Raises 6 x 12 (this set/reps made my calves really thick, but then again my dad has massive calves so it may just be genetics idk, also on last set do body weight burnout set)
Incline pushups as a burnout at the end, do it 2x
B: Pull
Squat 3 x 5
Stiff Legged Deadlifts 2 x 3 (do these after squats but don't go heavy, focus on blasting your hamstrings mainly, your hamstrings will be fried from both squatting and dls)
Weighted Pull Ups 3 x 5
Yates Row 3 x 7
(some sort of posterior delt exercise, hypertrophy rep range preferably)

Sport: ROBLOX HOCKEY LEAGUE
A: crack the fingers 10 times, loosen up the fingers, practice pressing WASD keys ten times. Then check mouse settings and practice moving your virtual stick |

i also play football, and we get a new workout card every 3-4 weeks.
i dont have it at my disposal currently, so i can give you a general estimation of what it is:
1. warmup
2. plyos
3. primary strength lifts paired with complementary strength (ex: backsquats with weighted broad jumps)
4. secondary strength lifts - 2 for the opposite muscle and 1 for the same (ex: on leg day it would be like db bench and pullups with kettlebell swings for legs. sometimes theres abs here)
5. un-weighted exercises
6. a couple more unweighted exercises
7. mental toughness exercise
8. calf raises
9. knee ligament stretches

wow that looks dumb tbh
i do agility on my pull days though
my pull days look like a lot and they are, i'm exhausted after them and my push days are relatively easy, make sure i dont fry my CNS

our workouts are pretty effective tbh. a lot of warmups/plyos involve agility
im also in track & field right now so i skip some of the less meaningful exercises as to preserve myself
you're a dt right? what year are you? |

i used to play hockey. i didn't do too much workout, i did a little bit of everything that didnt require a machine (mostly core exercises like planks), i did a lot of running, and i did a little lifting.

LOL my team is no good, we're trash and we're in canada so youve probably never heard of us
our team is so bad, we have like 4 good people and all 4 of us play both ways
i play OG (bc leg strength), MLB, P, and all special teams even tho we have enough guys where i dont need to
its dumb
our towns varsity team is good tho
|
|
|
|
wait so youre not on varsity and youll be a senior? |
|
jone1196Join Date: 2009-05-01 Post Count: 6212 |
yeah i am on varsity
im just MLB on varsity
|
|
|
oh that makes more sense. my team is also really small and many players play both sides |
|
jone1196Join Date: 2009-05-01 Post Count: 6212 |
our team isnt too small its just
...
...
the coaches make the better players play both ways even if we have 32 players hell still make like 4 or 5 people play both ways
|
|
|
32 is about the size of our team and where we play thats pretty damn small. 32 includes jv players though so its like 16 upperclassmen 16 underclassmen |
|

wow you guys have to bring people from jv up? you guys lack that many numbers? lol
|
|
|
most jv guys hardly play (mostly special teams), and some dont play at all. so actually we have any varsity players going offense, defense, and special teams |

WOOW lol that sounds intense
i remember in my first year of hs (gr 9) i got brought up to play some OLB for a few games
another feat is when my dad was in gr 9, he was big (6'1 , 230lbs, massive calves and forearms) and got asked to play for the towns adult varsity team
