I understand and I completely respect that, however, if we really want to make progress as a collective, we need more notable people within the community to help restore the sword community to its previous state.

Frized, if you don't mind I'd like a crack at it.
Alright, it's not the tech that is killing us... It's basically all the clans that were there so long, that we were used to, and known for years. These clans died out and everyone acts like the SF community is dying.
New clans will come, new leaders will rise. It is only slowly rotting cause all these SF clans are small clans, and the leaders are getting bored and shut it down. In the gun community, the bigger superclans stay. The smaller power clans die out. People can't stay forever and these leaders were here for a long time until people like Mathis,me,Rez,Muffin,Precise and others left. But anyways, there is also many clans that are forming just not known yet. This problem has been addressed for years. People have school, they don't have time for this.
Another problem are the people who ddos and and make the community worse. As for myself, Rez and Mathis we were all doxxed and ddosed for a long time by Nick. Basically, we were at the point we where we were not able to lead anymore. Having your home phone called and threatened over a game? Plus, the constant exploiting of raids and defenses. There wasn't this much then.
Also, tech is very expensive. Not going to be rude but the FL fort which costed over 20k was a pretty simple fort with some average scripting compared to the gun community. It costs money to make this stuff. Instead of people addressing, why don't you try to help them instead. Joe has dev teams, so why don't they help? Lack of funds.
Anyways, just wanted to say a couple things. TLDR: New clans will form, others will die. It will always be like that. Other problems that have happened is exploiting, lack of funds, and ddosing/doxxing people.

You'll find in the gun community clans are dying out. The superclans are also the ones that are staying alive. All those years...

But there is much smaller clans. You just don't notice it cause they're not use to the C&G or the big community.

then they should start taking a bigger part in the community its not always C&G isolating clans from the community, sometimes its just the clans themselves not trying to take part

It's my opinion and I believe a strong reason of the decline of SFING clans is the doxxing,ddosing, and stealing of them too.
