Been working on this weapon for a good week or two now, most detailed one i have ever made Honestly, I'm not sure what the problem is anymore, It wont stick together before scaling and falls apart even worse after scaling down to player usuable size, If anyone can help me stop it from falling apart over and over, or has an idea what I should do to just circumvent the issue, please let me know. And heres a short list of what i tried. -using welding scripts that support unions (Only partially fixed the problem) -turned the unions into a model (no effect) -Attempted to un-union (keep getting error 3) -Scaled it larger (Doesnt affect anything) -Scaled it smaller (falls apart even worse) -Welded all sides of each union (only partially fixed the problem) -Attempted a Cframe weld script (did not work) Havent tried -Rebuilding it (i really dont want this) -Attempting to put them as 'children' inside a brick -attempting to use a plugin to solve the problem -Lowering the triangle count in what I can un-union - No idea.

Maybe try making the parts welded together? [insert funny quote here and hope nobody realizes i'm too lazy to find a quote]

Already did dude, welded every side of the unions so they should stick to anything i put them on, but they wont stick to EACHOTHER.

Are you using a script or plugin?

If you use the plugin make sure the model is grouped/in a model. Then size it to what you want and it should work

Well, its not a problem making it smaller, the problem is it staying together when i do it.

Try another weld script.

gave up on those after the fifth one, and I read through the scripts to see how they work and so far the most they do is stop the upper and lower receivers, and the heat guard from falling off. but barrel still flings everywhere, Thanks for giving ideas guys, ive managed to find a way that makes progress towards fixing my problem, sadly I'll need to rebuild part of the rifle and remove some of the detail, but so far its working.

Lot of free modeled weld scripts just don't include unions since they were made before unions were a thing.

^Wat I did. I used this certain script after browsing through the free models to weld all my bricks together. I inserted the script into the grouped model, then grouped it all together again. Hope it helps :U http://www.roblox.com/Weld-item?id=155360806 (Psst, heard you had problems with welding with unions on it. I managed to weld the model what I was making, some of them with unioned bricks)

Use model resizer and for god's sake, anchor the parts like it says in the UI. Else the gun parts will not be where you want them to be

1. Get the model resizer plugin in my plugins 2. Anchor the model 3. Use the model resizer 4. Weld the part using a script 5. Unanchor the model Only do it IN THAT ORDER, or else it won't work at all.

While I thank you all for what you offered for help, I cant help but notice a good majority of you mentioned union specific script, and model resize plugin. I would like to update what i have tried in detail I have tried- -Manually Welding -Anchoring -Unanchoring -Using Union compatible scripts -Using non-union scripts -Scaling up using model resize plugin -Scaling down using model resize plugin -Combinations of anchor and model resize -Unioning more of the parts together -Deunioning the troublesome parts -Lowering triangle count -using different plug ins -attempting to put them inside another brick as 'children' The only options that have worked -Union multiple large sections together -lower triangle count at cost of detail -And rebuilding the more problematic portions. Sorry if I sounded rude guys, but You all mentioned the same things over and over without reading eachothers. I thank you for your ideas and help. Overall, I solved my problem, now the issue is taking a rifle thats 1000 times bigger than normal, and shrinking it down to A roblox characters size. I really need something that instead of trying to weld it, Just holds it in place without needing to be anchored.

Changing the size of the model after you welded it will break all welds.
