Restart your computer. It will clear out any cache in the RAM, and stop any I/O errors, preventing freezing. This is especially common with gaming computers, or computers that require to handle a lot of shaders or internet. Note that hibernating your PC will not fix this, and may worsen it.
Resetting your PC will clear cache that would appear more permanent.
