am i being mean or am i justified? this sophmore was in my tech class last semester and we sat next to each other for two whole days out of the whole semester. for those two class periods i got the sense that he was immature and just kind of generally annoying. he seems to like me, but hes not in my class this semester so i figure its not a problem anymore. a few weeks ago he basically followed me home. he was walking towards the front door and i was walking towards the back door but when he saw me he did a 180 to walk with me all the way to the neighborhood (like six blocks out of the way). i tried to make it clear i didnt want to walk with him but he didnt take the hint. he also didnt take the hint when i said i was busy all saturday and friday when he asked. then he asked for my number so i gave it to him but slightly wrong so he wouldnt text me. i thought that was the ACTUAL end of it but then today he texted me. i honestly have no idea how he got my actual number. i think he texted a lot of wrong numbers before he got to me. anyway i said i was busy again when he asked if i want to hang out and was kind of rude (just very curt answers). i think i might just stop answering his texts

Just tell him that you don't want to date him or anything. (It is extremely obvious that he likes you.) But do tell him that its fine if you are friends with him.

oh i know its obvious. but he hasnt actually asked me out or explicitly said he likes me so it would be so weird if just said out of the blue "i dont like you like that" and the second problem is that i dont particularly want to be friends with him either lol
