Each month, Firestone will have 2 classes Graduate with their POST Certification. A graduation will be hosted on the 1st of each month, and the 15th of each month (unless posted otherwise). The P.O.S.T. Academy has 5 Tiers, and you can take as much time as you want on each tier. Each tier will teach the following curriculum: Tier 1: Approximately 2 hours. - Introduction - Rules & Guidelines - Codes & Callsigns - Radio Communication - Clearing a subject Tier 2: Approximately 1.5 hours. - Criminal Justice System - Tickets, Citations, and Warnings - Reasonable Suspicion & Probable Cause - Miranda Warnings - Arrest Procedures Tier 3: Approximately 2.5 hours. - Defensive Tactics - Frisk & Search - Pedestrian Stop - Pretense Stop - L.O.V.I.D. Tier 4: Approximately 2.5 hours. - Traffic Stop - Felony Stop - Pursuit Policy - Pursuit Simulation Tier 5: Approximately 2 hours. - Checkpoints - Firearms & Equipment - Building Clearance - Final Discussion Post Certified: Approximately 1.5 hours. - Ceremonies on either 1st of month, or 15th of month (unless posted otherwise). - Certification Badge - Class photo - Graduation Ceremony After you've graduate from the P.O.S.T. Academy, you'll be allowed to apply for any Law Enforcement related department of your interest. - Firestone State Patrol - Firestone Department of Corrections - Stapleton County Sheriff's Office - Firestone Department of Homeland Security (P.O.S.T. not required for HLS) - Firestone National Guard (P.O.S.T. not required for NG) You may also become part of the P.O.S.T.
