Not a huge fan of either... (I like old Ari though, 2010-2012). #codepprint 'My Siggy'

Technique is the technical aspects of singing/playing an instrument, it's very much objective, emotion is subjective. One can play guitar technically very well and straight shred out some tech death metal on an 8 string guitar, but it won't have emotion in it.

@lob: I respect your opinion, and yes , Lady Gaga is a great artist but I can't say much about her because I have not heard much of her music. Give me some recommendations. @zip: yes, it's irrelevant to the conversation, but hey, I'm open to listening to new music and I might give it a try. 🙂

@Pastel Listen to the Fame Monster, all the way through. I stand by my statement that it is one of the greatest Pop projects made in the past decade. Also, the songs Gypsy from her ARTPOP album and Scheisse from Born This Way are fantastic places to start as well. Lobstery, God of Infinite Wisdom and Cruelty, King of the Pop Fans

hey idiots the best selling album is Thriller by Michael Jackon shouldn't that make him the best pop artist? (hell, he's the KING of POP)

Ariana Grande is talented but like most artists of today she wastes her talent on mostly mediocre content. It's not all a lack of talent on the radio these days it's just wasted talent. C'mon everyone, let's take a ride in my balloon / casino!

But Ariana Grande is tolerable and I would chill with her. Taylor isn't too shabby either. Taylor's music is some of the more enjoyable pop out right now C'mon everyone, let's take a ride in my balloon / casino!

i kinda hope her next album is more r&b rather than pop, as much as i enjoy her great charting hits like ''problem'' or dance-pop track ''break free'', i think her talent and technique shows more in her pop-r&b music. let's me honest, she's more talented than her peers in pop music. that talent shouldn't be wasted on mediocre songs like ''problem's big sister ''focus''

Sia and Adele are probably only some of the only artists that sing both great live and on studio and have great range. Sara Bareilles is good, too. Christina Perri sings good, as well, but I think her previous live performances are better than her current ones.
