Quite a lot of people are afraid of losing robux, tickets, hats, etc. when they are on holiday. This is why I now give you my idea on an account lock:
Simply, in your Account tab on My Roblox, there is a new section called "Lock Account". There, there is general information about account locking, and a button to initiate account locking. Clicking this button will create a pop-up window asking you to confirm that you want to lock your account. Pressing "no" will simply do nothing, and "yes" will forward you to the next part of the process:
An email will be sent to the email address stated when the person joined ROBLOX. This gives the general information about account locking, its benefits, etc., and provides a link back to the ROBLOX website which will take you onto a page that can only be accessed by that email. On this page, there is a final confirmation, and by clicking yes your account is locked.
I apologise for not introducing the content of account locking until now. Simply, when an account is locked, it is impossible for it to be accessed regardless on whether you are the owner of the account or not and whether you know the code to the account or not. Item trading will be disabled during account locking as it is pointless because trades cannot be reviewed, and any bans will only start when the account is activated again. Builders Club money will go to the account as usual, alongside place visit money, sales money, etc., so when you return you can smile as you see your account has lots and lots of robux.
To reactivate a locked account, one must first type in the code and username as normal into the ROBLOX login, and then a pop up window will state: "This account has been locked. Do you wish to unlock this account?"
Pressing "yes" will send another email, which shall lead to another page that will allow you to unlock the account [code must be typed in again along with the email address at the new page]. Once the account is unlocked, players can start playing ROBLOX again on their account.
And that, sirs, is my idea of account locking.
This idea can expand to a temporary account lock, where the account is locked for a set amount of time and no matter how many times you click "unlock account", no email will be sent (stops email spamming). Locking accounts permanently should not be added (why would anyone need to lock their account permanently?)
I invite your views into this very basic but beneficial suggestion. |
