GRE New Terra, New Roma Antonius Caesar I stand on the balcony of the imperial palace as the home legions march down the main thoroughfare. I turn to my ministers, "The victory over the Sakvar remnants is important as the last of the old order is destroyed. Soon we will return to Sol and retake earth and the original Rome with it. This Terran Republic sounds weak and inefficient. An aborted attempt to go back to the old days."

Well I should hope everyone has some unique stuff. Here goes. Technology: Armor: Drones can still use armor, of course. Exoskeletal suits are perfect for them, with the addition of plasma plates(explained below) they can easily swarm a place and cause lots of damage to anything in their way. Their armor is equipped with small thrusters which can activate on a momentary burst of speed frontwards and upwards, propelling a drone into the air and onto a target, or to higher ground from which it can keep moving forwards. Biomass harvesting: After a battle has been fought on the ground, Specialists can come in and extract biomass from the dead drones, and artificially grow new drones to replenish some of what was lost. The process takes longer than a normal drone birth and growth cycle, and of course destroyed biomass cannot be harvested. Injured drones who somehow didn't die will also sometimes be harvested, so that a healthy drone can be grown in its place and go to the battlefield where it belongs. Weapons: Plasma: The Shri mostly use plasma in their weapons, due to its ease of use and manufacture. The two most common uses of plasma weaponry are plasma guns, which superheat gases inside a super-high pressure chamber and then launch them in a fashion similar to a gauss gun with magnetics, and plasma plates, a system which generates a thin layer of plasma around it, burning anything that touches it. Plasma plates are easy to break, as their main use is to swarm foes and burn them as they break the plates to expose more plasma, and plasma guns can only be used by Specialists and Primes, but the two make a very deadly duo. Monomolecular blades: For melee weapons, the Shri will sometimes use monomolecular blades. As the name implies, it is one molecule thick and can slice through most materials, breaking their bonds at the molecular level and splitting them apart like hot butter. Due to their nature, monomolecular blades cannot be plasma plates, because that would involve the plasma spreading across the blade and requiring more than just one molecule in thickness. Plasma bombs: Large explosions of plasma can decimate places, large bombs destroying cities and small bombs destroying tanks. It burns through most materials and burns flesh to dust. Some drone armors are outfitted like the Darksuit variation, and the drone within can trigger a plasma explosion to happen if the suit breaks. Specialists will also set plasma bombs where and when needed, such as to destroy buildings to force out enemy troops or clear an obstruction. With the clever use of magnetics, some plasma explosions can be shaped to shear through a single target and nothing else. Some drone suits have this, firing their plasma all in one direction, but most create a general explosion. Ships: Darksuit: Snug little zero-g armor with thrusters that fits one Drone. It can't survive more than one or two hits, but it's small and it's fast. Comes equipped with plasma shooters and plates. Sometimes modified to become essentially a smart plasma missile, with extra armor and lots of plasma energy stored inside but no external weapons. Tunneler: Small ship that acts as a scout and anti-fighter escort ship. It is only crewed by four drones, with much of the ship being occupied by computers and systems. Because it is meant for anti-fighter duty, the Tunneler carries laser weapons rather than plasma, for the much decreased time to reach the target. Adapter: Small ship bordering on medium sized. It fulfills multiple purposes, with two heavy plasma guns suitable for fighting larger ships, and an array of smaller plasma guns for fending off others. Often used as an escort or light attack ship in fleets, in groups by themselves or with larger ships to provide point defense and to catch fleeing enemies. Lurker: Medium sized ship that acts as a squadron leader for smaller ship groups, or as a front-line fighter for larger ship groups. Capable in all capacities, with a good amount of armor and a variety of weapons, including heavier plasma guns for big ships, medium plasma guns for small and equally sized ships, and a few laser arrays for anti-fighter duty. Invader: Medium ship on the larger side of the spectrum. Basically a mobile weapons platform, with decent armor but a huge array of weapons, including planetary bombardment plasma bombs and precision lasers to destroy cities and buildings, respectively. It also hosts a large number of heavy plasma guns, to cut through the armor and hull of large ships. Finally, it has a hangar bay from which drones in Darksuits can launch and land on. Vulnerable to small bombers, and is both expensive to construct, and takes a long time. Consumer: First ship of the large size class. Will often lead battle groups of other ships, and has several heavy plasma guns to duel other capital-class ships with. Heavily armored, has a small hangar for Darksuit drones. Command ships have more computers and electronic stuff for better command of the fleet. Hive Carrier: Sometimes a combat ship, sometimes not. Very large, used to transport hives from one world to another. Always commanded by a Prime, will usually have one to two hundred thousand drones aboard. When it comes in for combat, it will set up a planetary invasion with plasma bombs and precision lasers, and launches Darksuit drones to fight in space and in atmosphere. Leviathan: Huge, mega-sized ship. Heavily armored and carries the sum total of a fleet's worth of weapons of all types, including hangars, anti-fighter laser arrays, planetary bombardment weapons, and is always a command ship with a Prime commanding from within. Slow, massively costly to build in terms of both time and resources, but probably worth it. None have been built so far and the Shri don't have enough resources to build any at all at this point in time. Feeder: Medium sized transport ship, for carrying passengers, cargo, and other supplies. Mostly unarmed and unarmored, with decent protection around the engines and small laser turrets around the hull to ward off fighters. Gargantuan: Huge transport ship, usually called in to carry out the invasions of planets. Can carry half a million drones, accompanying specialists, and all their needed gear. Heavily armored, lightly armed, slow and a very large target. None have been built so far. k. This took me several hours to make. Mostly because of the ships.

Shrichiakchin - 311th Era, Current Overprime: Chitshakchin. Human date: October 17th, 2897 AD. Celebration. The dawn of a new age, the end of an old era. The beginning of a new cycle, as birth, death, and rebirth would continue. As it always had. The shipyards made new ships, the Matriarchs gave steady increase to the population, as they always had, and would. Until the Shri ended, and the last Era with them. But they could last for eternity, for when one fell, a hundred thousand more stood behind it. And behind a hundred thousand stood a hundred million. They were endless, and as long as one Prime and one Matriarch still lived, the Shri would endure. The cycles of endless warfare on their home planet was long gone. Humans were scattered around the galaxy now. Over four hundred years had passed since the Humans had made contact with the Alkavir. Chit had been birthed just a single human year after. After his father had died and he had had to compete with many of his brothers for the position of Overprime, he had solidified his position and awaited the end of the era. He had seen how the Humans and other species fought. For a spacefaring race, they were bigots and quite stupid. Yet such a delicacy, one that could hardly run out as there were billions scattered throughout the galaxy and reproduced fast for aliens. There would be much to do in the coming times. Tunnelers had already been dispatched to scout out new worlds to be colonized... and invaded. Perhaps they would find new species that they could consume, and become better with. Perhaps they would find empty worlds they could be inhabited and reformed to better suit Shri life. Time would tell.

Nox, outer rim One of the planets at the edge of GRE space, Nox was home to the largest forward base in the Empire. Imperator Augustus watched from the H.Q as legionaries and velites scurry around doing their jobs. Imperator Augustus I turn around to find a hologram of the emperor staring at me, I quickly kneel in fealty, "I did not expect such a sudden call great Caesar. How may I serve the empire?" Antonius Caesar I smile, "Imperator, dispatch several Velite class drones to nearby systems. I want to expand our empire so that we are ready for the reconquest of Terra. Bring all data of inhabited worlds back but do not engage, I want allies to fill our auxiliary Corp." Imperator Augustus I stand and salute, "Si Caesar. I will dispatch the drones immediately. Glory to the empire." The emperor nods and cuts transmission. I fix my armor before shouting commands to praetors to dispatch the drones. (A little rank and organization of the GRE military) Ranks; Velites: scouts and snipers of the GRE wear a lighter version of the legionary armor that has the ability to cloak for a short duration if moving Legionary: the backbone of the army. Used en masse and in strategic ways to overcome the enemy Hastatti(Heavy Legionnaires): wear the Hespheastus power armor and equipped with an ED shield and heavy weapons Centurion: NCO's that command a century Praetor: officers Imperators: generals Organization Cohort: 50 men Century: 100 men Legion: 1000 men Army: 10000 men

Some of the more unique things about the Ascendancy as far as tech goes I suppose. Technology: The Ascendancy has a high degree of advancement in the fields of nano-technology and genetic manipulations. Their advances in genetics are primarily due to a rare resource known as Aether that has only been found in a handful of asteroids in the Badlands and has now been mined and used so extensively only small reserves remain. Thanks to unknown processes, Aether allows DNA to be manipulated to a disturbingly accurate degree. While the creation process of the Ascended may be unknown, it's common knowledge that Aether is somehow involved in the process. However apart from its uses in the Ascendancy military and the upper class, genetic modification is mostly unseen and unused. Nano and cybernetic technology is far more prevalent in Ascendancy society, being used to operate most of their advanced vehicles and weapons. Curiously infantry suits have not yet had the full degree of nano technology implemented into them probably due to cybernetic use overshadowing it. Ascendancy AI research is highly forbidden and besides simple automation is more or less non existent. Advanced manufacturing techniques are also lacking, the Ascendancy doesn't have the means to rapidly produce fleets and armies. Weapons: Ascendancy weapons are rather 'basic'. On the ground, their infantry tend to use variations of the Pulse rifle, a slow firing with low 'bullet' velocity but highly damaging variation of a plasma rifle. Their land vehicles, when they bother to use any generally are mounted with railguns. Spaceborn weapons are mostly energy beams supplemented by railguns and close ranged pulse cannons. Ships: Ascendancy ship is quite simple, one size fits all. Unfortunately in the Traxilan Badlands to fit everything means conducting fleet battles, evacuating planets, setting up deep space outposts, terraforming planets, building new ships, researching, sensor scanning, and a thousand other miscellaneous tasks. The product of this mentality is the Progenitor vessels, massive ships that are the equivalent of an entire fleet for most other empires. Due to their size and complexity, only four have been fielded by the Ascendancy. However despite everything, there is one role the Progenitors can't fulfill, and that is stealth. As a result, Eidolon class Destroyers are the stealth counterparts to the Progenitors and are about half the size and suited for long periods of covert operations and observation in enemy territories without being detected.

Realm of Lordran: The Realm was originally one of technological innovation and advancement, but in this current dark age it is in decay with many ancient technologies once considered commodities becoming rare and troublesome to maintain due to the Afflicted's continuing dominance of the majority of their lands. The Realm no longer has the technology to counter it's enemies efficiently and so relies on the few things it still has in abundance: faith and bravery. The advances the Realm experienced were due to the discovery of the Land of Gods, which has since been lost in mystery and myth. Formerly, rings of biological mutation could be imposed on an individual -- but now, that is only lent to the most tattered of lords. Large factories dot the massive megapolis that is Yherl and turn out large amounts of warmaterial due to highly efficient mechanisms. The appearance of the Lords has led to somewhat of a stable foundation for technology to be held, as even the most stubborn human will obey the lowliest of lords -- for they are the race of their king and saviour, Gydias. Like referenced previously, the basic soldier armor is simply of a chestplate made from a durable bronze-colored material and something that is now more akin to barbaric chainmail than it's original form. In contrast, Lords are extremely wellarmored and fast, able to heft weapons of much greater size and of much greater damage. All Lords silver armor gleams in the sunlight, with a deep grey cloak covering their helmeted heads and backs. A single lord to become afflicted is a substantial threat even for the humans of the military. Lords weaponry tends to send painful electric shocks coursing through the victim's body -- and when ranged weaponry fails to meet the deed, a lord will be happy enough to draw a powerful powered melee weapon to put them down. Vehiclewise, even the army is extremely well-equipped. Highly armored, well-equipped and maintained the rarely deployed legions of vehicles can more than enough substitute for the degraded quality of human infantry. The Lords vehicles are rarely seen, but are mostly attributed to rely on some sort of hovering technology to avoid mines and obstructions and usually gleam silver with powerful weapons of unknown classification capable of melting hostile vehicles much greater their size. Human Ships: Acceptance - These ships tend to be small and mostly pose as escorts with their tiny brown hulls. White Branch - Powerful anti-fighter and anti-frigate ships which shadow the Homeward classes to ensure they can target the larger vessels, capable of dissipating and hiding from all but the most advanced scanning devices. They have been known to reappear admist enemy lines and make desperate distractions for their brothers. Homeward - Large ships which make up the bulk of Yherl's fleet, well armored but only adequately equipped. Champion - Oversized ships which commonly are seen in the lead, extremely well armored and adequately equipped for their size. Despite their overall power, they don't have any unique abilities. Lord Ships: Judicator - Very powerful ships which appear defending Champion or larger Lord ships, they are very durable and can pose a significant threat to most enemies. Thankfully, due to their rarity they are rarely seen in large groups. The largest concentration is above Yherl. Dark Sign - Sleek black vessels piloted by shamed lords, they are not very durable (for a lord vessel) but can cause extreme damage in the form of anti-fighter and frigate duties. Redemption - The largest lord ships besides Gydias' Will, they are exceptional in every way except turning speed -- but easily counter this by their impressive weaponry seen dotted all over the vessel. Mostly seen only when leading other Lord vessels or just sitting above Yherl. Gydias' Will - First ship of Gydias, and the rallying point of the Lords. It is currently embedded into the Hall of Lords as a major point of it and until it is reawakened will serve as something eerily akin to an orbital defense station. It powers the orbital defense systems across the ruined planet, ensuring that the last home of Lordran will always be save from orbital bombardment.. Unless, of course.. it must be called from it's cradle.. then it is already too late.

Empire CS; Empire Name: Followers of Jysuthos Leaders Name: Aruxudo The Chosen (Since it's a Theocrazy Jysuthos the god is technically head of state, however Aruxudo is seen to be chosen by Jysuthos) Form of government: Theocracy Planets: Jysuthos is named after the great god Jysuthos, it is a 'shine world', the planet is lush and green with giant cities that resemble places of worship, pure in white stone high towers piercing the sky; guarded by titanic walls. The world is untouched as exploiting the world is considered to disgrace the mighty Jysuthos, it would be the same as burning down a temple. There are also other places that the mighty Followers of Jysuthos reside in. Wozen is rocky and untamed world with mining colonies scattered across the planet, small towns and mining villages pocket the area, mining up the rich and great resources of the planet, most the workers generally come from other parts of the Empire looking for work. Rodak is a great city-planet, the entire planet is in cased in a massive metallic city, ores come from Wozen and are smelted down and made anew in Rodak. Pryvelly is a world some what similar to Jysuthos, however every man and women born in this planet are forced into the military and make the bulk Followers of Jysuthos, however they have outposts on every moon near the planets, varying on size. There are also other colonies such as: Ulejithos, Oafesni Gahenis and Profis which I will tell more about on a later date. Religion: They worship Jysuthos, a god deity that is praised by all, those whom refuse to follow are generally seen as heretics and killed, many people hailing from the Followers of Jysuthos go around the galaxy in attempts to spread the word of their lord, with varying degrees of success. Jysuthos is seen as the sole lord and creator of all things in the universe, and he has blessed the worshippers of Jysuthos with the right of the universe, sadly however many heretics have taken this from them, and they on a never-ending crusade to take it back. Thus many of Followers Of Jyuthos believe they are above all those that have not followed such religion, and believe it is their duty and by right of the god to spread their word of the mighty god. Despite this, they will make alliances with other Empires of different religions or lack of it, for the sake of survival. Race(s): 80% Are Humans hailing from the great cities of the Empire and the lower colonies, most are from birth taught how to pray before they are taught to walk, it has a strict control in their lives religion, they must attend to worship every day at some point, at least for an hour. They are generally brain-washed in many ways, and are generally very fanatic about their god. (also many rules that tell them what they can and can't do ect) The other 20% are undocumented aliens that spread out though out the empire, as long as they praise the Jyusthos they can expect a near-equal life among their human counter-parts. (hope dis k)
