So what exactly do you do in no man's sky?

I know you can explore, but what else? It looks like they focused so much on having such a huge ass world, that they forgot to actually add fun gameplay All i've seen in that game is flying, and exploring. Awesome. The world is huge. But other than that, why should i spend $60 on the game? I think it'll flop. But that's just me

It's a procedurally generated universe, so the "map" you say is infinite. From what I know you can explore different planets and their climates/aliens and gather resources and such and you can go to outer space. It's not focused on fighting but you can. Idk anything else

They said MANY times in the past that exploration is the main thing they are going for, of course they wouldnt care about gameplay that much.
