Spread the word
HailMontgomery

I know I hate on The Seven Kingdoms group but I had fun in it while it lasted. On a date that will live on in fame (forgot it) House Hayford of the Crownlands stepped forth into the ring of battle. HailReagan, HailMontgomery, and HailKennedy were poised to win the tournament being held that day. At the time, House Hayford was not even official in the eyes of The Seven Kingdoms, but there was no reason they couldn't try winning this tournament. This was their second tournament, and they only had 3 contenders, while houses Baratheon, Lorch, and Manderly had 7 each. The admin Translucently announced it would be 2v2, so HailMontgomery jumped on HailReagan's head signifying he was his partner. HailKennedy had to fight with a random guy on his team from House Stark. HailMontgomery and HailReagan were up first. Neither of them died, and they moved onto the next round. HailKennedy and the Stark also won. Round 2, HailKennedy's team nearly lost, but made it just in time. HailMontgomery and HailReagan fought valiantly, HailMontgomery dying in the process, but HailReagan saved their fate. If you are familiar with the old Arena you'll know there is a little problem with invisible walls. You spawn randomly on one side of the map and there is no way getting to the other side. This is a problem if you're dealing with 2v2s, as you have to be on your partner's head, and he may be on the other side of the invisible wall. This is exactly what happened. HailMontgomery spammed vigourously, saying "TP ME TO HAILREAGAN, WE SPAWNED ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE INVISIBLE WALL." Normally the admin would never do this, as he is so preoccupied with the tournament and everyone else's requests, but the glorious admin showed his worth, and teleported me to HailReagan, so we could be on the same team. Round 3, Halfway through the match, HailReagan dies. HailMontgomery managed to pull through, taking on a 2v1 with lag being only a small factor in his victory. HailKennedy and his partner die, and are ejected from the tournament. They fought valiantly, but alas, their Lorch opponents proved too much for them. We spawned on the wrong side of the invisible wall again, and the admin pulled through again, showing he was truly worthy of the responsibility (despite how amazing he was, he was demoted about a week afterwards due to factors I can only assume were his corrupt high ranks). Not only did we spawn on the wrong side of the wall, after he TP'd us, I lost connection. The tournament was surely lost, admins don't team people to the fighting team if they weren't in it when the tournament started. But once again, the admin showed that he was easily the best admin the genre had ever known, and put me back into the tournament. Our opponents (mostly Lorch and Manderly) saw this as cheating, and they spouted insults at us the rest of the tournament. Round 4, we won. No incidents this time, but during round 4, the Lord of House Hayford arrived to the tournament, and due to circumstances I can't quite remember (possibly me losing connection again) he fought in round 5 instead of me. Round 5, Marshall352, the Lord of House Hayford, and the recruit (not sure if that was his rank at the time or not) HailReagan were up against two members of House Lorch. Marshall managed to get a few hits on them, but he died. HailReagan was all that was left. The tension built in the Skype chat, as HailMontgomery muttered things about what would happen if they lost, or if they won, "If you lose this I swear." HailReagan got one, but got hit in the process, on very low health. The remaining Lorch charged him, but with great skill, HailReagan sidestepped him, and they... Tied. An admin would usually put both of the losing players on the losers team, but seeing as this was the final round, he put them both back in. The events replayed themselves, Marshall doing damage, Marshall dying, HailReagan alone in a 2v1, HailMontgomery saying "you actually have to win this time," HailReagan killing one of them. It went up to the point where HailReagan tied, but this time HailReagan won. There was a split second of silence between the time the Lorch made the dying sound in game, and everyone in the Skype chat's microphones reaching clipping levels. "OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH ARE YOU KIDDING" was all that was heard for 10 straight seconds, as everyone in game said "gg" and the like. HailReagan paraded before the stands, HailMontgomery in the Skype chat saying "SAY 'ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED,' NO WAIT, SING! SING!" (we had modified the song "Men of Harlech" to "Men of Hayford," and that was our anthem). HailReagan did neither of these things, but instead shouted "RAA OR DIE" The arena thundered in a deafening cry of "RAA OR DIE." I find this part particularly funny, as 9/10 of them probably didn't know what RAA was, or even what C&G was. Either way, RAA got some free advertising out of it. I, as the heir to House Hayford, made sure that all of my members present thanked the admin profusely, as if it was any other admin, I guarantee you that those events wouldn't play out. The admin asked what we wanted as a reward. We asked for HailReagan and HailKennedy to be knighted (a terrible move on our part at the time, as once you're official you can get that done whenever you like, and if you're not official you can't do it under any circumstances. And we weren't official). The admin said there was something wrong, and it was that we weren't official (40 members to become official). He said that once we are official we could get out men knighted, and we complied. Those men eventually became knights, and the admin :m'd in the game "These guys aren't official, join and MAKE them official, they deserve it!" which was great, but no one joins the tournaments unless they're fighting for a house, but admin went the extra mile, as he did so many times that day, and shouted the same message on the Seven Kingdoms group. That shout reached 7,000 people, and everyone lived happily ever after. And that's the story of the small house right outside of King's Landing who became heroes, who became legends.. The story of that small, unofficial house taking on Houses Stark and Baratheon, Lorch and Manderly (Lorch and Manderly, while not having the most members at the time, were the most prominent at King's Landing, they usually had squads patrolling the city). It is a story of hope. It is a story of overcoming the odds and most of all, it is a story of showing that strength is better than size. And even though I am not fond towards this group, all I can say is... RAA or Die. Your reply was the most disappointing thing since my son.
