That's because of marketing and really dumb executives trying to be hip, corporate America makes me quite sick.
emojis are horrible for business strategies, but it can be forgiven if your target audience uses emoji as their first language

me too, but emojis were first made in 1999/1998 by shigetaka kurita. what i'm estimating is that emoji's should've burst about 2000/2002 and died about 2004/2005. there are many more emoji commercials like this one, e.g mcdonalds.
