they're both really bad
for starters, you really ought to stick with photos that are in the public domain - unless you've been given explicit permission to use a photo or you've taken it yourself, you could potentially run into copyright issues down the road. it's also just kind of tacky to take people's original work without permission.
secondly, the text on both of them is hard to read, clashes with the background, and generally just looks really awful. if you're going to put text on your album cover (which you don't necessarily have to) then at least have the colors match and/or compliment the background. i would also stick to a less decorative font - think fonts like georgia, times new roman, or arial, which are very simple, easy to read, but aren't overly distracting. the text isn't the main focus here.
i'd also recommend acquainting yourself with an actual graphics program - gimp 2.8 is my favorite to use, and it's free to download as well. |
