My post about words that were filtered out was blocked because it included words that are filtered out. Like SERIOUSLY? How am i supposed to tell you what words are blocked if it blocks it? |

alright, alright. so i don't ever post on the forums but. it feels like it needs to be said- mostly because this is getting a little bit unnecessary. i've been here for a long time- as well as many other people posting in the thread- and i've placed MY money into this game. the money i worked for at MY job.
riddle me this.
why would i want to put MY money into a game that i can't even use to communicate?
(to be honest why did i even do that)
if this is a game for "making friends" and "roleplaying" you know.. stuff that requires people to communicate. how can they do this? if you're seriously going to put in this bad of a filter- you're basically forcing safe chat into everyone's hands and giving them a slap on the back with a 'good luck'.
so what's the point? i don't even know what i said to get hashedtagged. nor do they. so how can i post it? it's really a hit and miss situation. to be honest, why would you want to put in more work just to take the words that are accidentally filtered rather than just going back to the old filter that actually covered curses.
to long; didn't read: you're loosing money fast, roblox, and at this rate- it's not going to stop with these updates recently. |

I'm not sure if this was acknowledge but several of the groups descriptions have been filtered and it's honestly frustrating, this includes many of the foreign (russian, japanese, etc.) words or names. I understand this is to improve experience on Roblox but this is restricting us from our "freedom of speech." Which is completely different than taking advantage and swearing or droping F-Bombs left and right. |

So apperantly there is nothing good on this. And as we know roblox, a good change is unlikely, but heeey.
Id's to roblox items get censored, names get blocked (Let's face it, names are a big part of roleplay)

Parts of usernames are being censored, even if they are not attempts at filter passing or saying something that might be offensive.
The 2 I've know of so far;

And I am sure usernames that are consisted of numbers, or contain numbers in them in place of letters in a manner that is not trying to pass the filter, are also filtered out or blocked from being posted.
I know you're unlikely to fix this, but please consider just how broken your filter is...

"topless" is also censored now. I see where you're coming from, but this is a term that can be used loosely, not always meant to be inappropriate. I use it as a good-intentioned term for clothing, and it gets wrongful censorship.

This filter just makes communication harder among players. I continue playing this game till this day because it sort of gave me the freedom of speech. Removal of certain phrases and censorships will affect my opinion about this gaming platform overall... |

I can't even write a simple group description being hashtagged. Eg. Such as "House Tallhart" that would be hashtagged out and I would have to keep trying to make it until it works which eventually it did. You even banned "Skype" I mean what the hell. So many other none harmful words have been removed and I saw nothing wrong with the old chat filtering systems. Some updates work and some don't, this is a no no from me. Also it's impossible to chat as I would have to ask "Whats under that hashtag".
Seriously revert back.

I agree the game was fine before it seems every time they update the game they just end up breaking more things without fixing any issues whatsoever. If you're gonna update the game, actually have the updates fix something instead of just breaking everything. Seriously roblox, do better. |
