I understand where you might feel concerns towards safety in the bathrooms, but you do realize you're more likely to get shot by your dog than be assaulted by a transgender individual right? |

meanwhile, i doubt that bathroom law will mean ANY increased in violence... these men who you think would go into the women's bathroom are mentally ill in some way. a law or a bathroom sign isn't going to stop them.
'dammit it's ILLEGAL for me to go into that bathroom. looks like i'll have to hang up this assault thing for good.'

and sure a bathroom sign wont stop a predator, but letting them waltz right in and making that acceptable doesnt make it any easier

we cant prevent any accidents if they just say "oh go right in because i'm gonna put your personal 'feelings' over the safety of others"
and i get that number from the news i read daily

what about the safety of transgender people? i would think that assault on transgender people in the bathroom they do not identify with is a lot more prevalent than predators in womens bathrooms
actually i haven't even found a single instance of assault in women's bathrooms in america. a few in canada though. i only found men videotaping women which is pretty bad but if this were an actual issue, i'd be able to find cases

if [T] people supposedly have more cases of being beaten than predatory behavior occurs in the bathrooms, do you really think it would be a wise idea to totally open the flood gates?
no, people are going to resist against that and all hell is going to break loose
there's protests, riots, increased violence and the like already happening
when you try to push something on people, they're going to push back
make gender neutral bathrooms or something because letting anyone go into any loo they choose is entirely idiotic and dangerous for everyone |

what about the safety and comfort of everyone else? it makes no sense to dismiss it for the sake of 0.3% of Americans.
at the University of Toronto, two male students exploited the gender neutral bathroom conditions to videotape women in the showers last September. the school had to revert back to gender-specific bathrooms because of this and a similar incident.
likewise, a man in Virginia dressed in drag and filmed a woman in a bathroom stall in a women's restroom at the Potomac Mills Mall. he committed similar misdemeanors in late 2015.
no one's worried about transgendered people, it's the pseudo-trans exploiters everyone is worried about. |

sure the minorities should have some rights or whatever, but just because they're the little
guy doesn't mean everybody else needs to be ignored and should "check their privilege"
people have legitimate concerns about these issues, and i guess they won't care until it happens to them
there's a reason why some of these things have been a taboo in society |
