A human generally has one of two distinctive reproductive organs at birth, so I don't think so.

As a radical liberal feminist, I'm appalled that in the 21st century, people still ask this question.

Personally I don't feel it is one. Like you can't just get up one day and say "I identify as a banana" and expect people to take you for it. |

gender is cultural and is the term to use when referring to women and men as social groups so yeah i guess |

You mean construct?
Golly wolly, what haven't I already said on this topic? I mean I could just quote myself:
"When we talk about "female" and "male" being the only two "genders", we're talking on the biological side, correct? XX, XY, etc. ties into biological 53x, though, while gender is something completely different. Hell, this is something doctors are basically telling you if you're getting a transition.
Modern medicine does in fact acknowledge that chromosomal 53x, g0 nadal 53x, h0 rm0nal 53x, morphological 53x, and behavioral 53x [this is a huge overlap with but not the same as gender and/or gender role(s)] are different and therefore need to be considered differently under different circumstances.
No one thing is actually biological 53x, then.
If you're being evaluated for something where say, your chromosomal 53x matters(transitioning), we can ask that question [specifically]. Saying [male] and [female] is a heuristic that although can cover most people, is faaaar from most configurations and is more inadequately specific for issues where biological 53x is relevant. Which alas, is not an everyday case as we see here."
You see, most of these chumps just don't get that the biological definition of a male and female are more complicated than normally put out. Not many have quite grasped the concept that the strict biological definition of someone has nothing to do with social role pertaining to gender itself.
You're likely not going to know the biological 53x of every person you have a conversation with or their genetic makeup, even.
That all out of the way, it could technically be possible for there to be an infinite amount of genders if they fall under the category of gender's fluid definition. As in, calling yourself "snowflakegender" isn't technically a gender and is more of a kintype, which is not a gender identity. Universally it's unlikely all infinite genders would be accepted into society, but otherwise it stays on a personal level, which is fine. That's how people with a less common gender or personally made gender deliver, anyhow.
But… no. Male and female aren't made-up genders, but the gender binary was definitely made up. The concept of differing gen it alia is not a social construct of course, but the genders and expectations they've been assigned to are.

culture clearly influences notions of gender, as does biology. it isn't an either-or concept |

Apparently feminists believe that women being straight is a social construct that men have tried to make a real thing. Women are naturally attracted to women, any attraction towards men is a product of social conditioning. and if we as a class want to reach liberation we must unlearn this.
I'm not even kidding I quoted it word for word.

So now you think you can just identify people how ever you want?

You see, we can't just have some guy one day who says he's a woman, yet has male features right? Yes the human body is a mixture of both chromosomes, but it is revealed at birth if you're truly man or woman, and you can't just 'change' that and declare yourself the oposite gender. |

People become male or female depending on the greater quantity of a certain chromosome in their cells. No man can name himself a woman if he has the majority of the male chromosomes. |
