Unfortunately, not all parents can afford to pay for chores. Although I have OBC, I do sympathize for the NBC players, now more than ever because we've all been, or still are NBC players at some point, including me. The only difference is that when that was the case, I at least had some means of making robux by trading my tickets in for them.
Now, there are a lot of sites or platforms I've enjoyed at one point that claim to be free and found that there was a premium form of money, and most of the time, that was the only type. Those types of games and platforms were the ones I quit, because I could never really see the point of having robux.
Even after all of that though, there's something unique about this need for robux on ROBLOX now. All of those other platforms or games were already set up that way from the beginning, but millions of players on ROBLOX got to experience what it felt like to have free currency for so long, and then that was just taken away from them. For the players that use ROBLOX more than just a game, but also like that creative shopping/spending side, I can really understand where a lot of them are coming from.
Overall, though, I'm not sure where I stand on the whole removal of tickets. I read the blogs and the articles thoroughly when it was happening, and I really do trust ROBLOX in what they say and what their vision is, simply because I've been with them for so long and I've never felt wronged by them, but I can understand both sides of the argument.
I think it might be nice to at least provide players a way to earn free robux, not that it would be easy, but at least that it's there. I mean, players without builders club generate ROBLOX revenue from seeing ads from other companies, and they use to compensate for that by giving you tickets, and now they don't.
Geez, that was a long, maybe pointless rant. My whole point is that, yes, I trust ROBLOX in the removal of tickets, but I also am torn and side with the argument that players should at least have some way of earning currency without having to pay for it. |
