I downloaded Japanese font but all I see is the symbols other people write, How do I write using the symbols, I still need to learn Japanese though :P

That doesn't mean you didn't have them downloaded, it could have meant you didn't have them activated. Maybe I should have been more specific...

I just set up my default keyboards and language as Japanese... You can do that in the Control Panel
