also even then it doesn't work like that as your vote is only used to persuade your area's person thing (don't know the proper term) to vote on your behalf, but even then they can vote for themselves. for an example let's say we live in Oregon, the vote comes out 60% democrat, if the person of the state wants to vote republican they just can, and the 60% isn't heard.
