If you are here, it isn't by chance, mate. You clicked on a link that I either deliberately send you, or was sent to you by another. Whatever the case, you've come here for a specific reason, now I don't know what this reason is. I do, however, ask you to read this entire post, top to bottom. To the last bit of punctuation in this post. Thank you.
This is a tribute, a thank you, to some of the most influential ROBLOXians in my ROBLOX career (as of May 25th, 2016). I joined ROBLOX in 2009, not on this account, obviously. I played a little bit, and left. I came back and made a new account in June of 2010, rex12123212. I played a little with him. In April of 2011, made an alt so I could help moderate a group I was in at the time, Sharpshooters. Some of you may know this group, the predecessor to Onslaught. This alt was named MASTERMAN6623, intentionally made to sound like a child. As time continued, I slowly began to play as Masterman6623 much more than my main account, and in turn Masterman became my main account as he is today. Masterman became the account I played on all the time, and I rarely ever called on rex12123212, and it was usually to get around a ban or to attend trainings as a lower rank to keep an eye on things from a different point of view. Today rex12123212 is now controlled by a good, long time friend of mine. I have other alts to use for similar purposes that were once performed by rex12123212. This forum post, as stated above, is a tribute and thank you to multiple people. Here we go.
[Name I knew] [(New name)]
Kason3 (Aphoristic) - Kason3 was, and currently is, the leader of the 303rd Attack Battalion throughout its many incarnations here on ROBLOX. I joined the 303rd in 2013, and I remained a large part of it for quite a long time. Kason3 taught me the basics of being in a military group. He was a strict, but well meaning leader. He lead the 303rd to greatness and success, despite its many incarnations. Today, he still remains a large part of my experiences and I still largely respect him.
MissClone - MissClone was one of the first people I met in the 303rd Attack Battalion. He was a kind, but firm, High Rank. He taught me how to lead men, and how to be an HR in the Star Wars genre. I wouldn't have made it a day as an Officer in the 303rd if it hadn't been for his guidance. Today I still heed to his guidance in being an HR.
RapidPoolLover - I only recently met RapidPoolLover, but he has already been a large inspiration to me. Rapid is essentially the co-leader of Anesi Airlines and its subsidiaries. Rapid has taught me a great deal of being an HR in any group, and I heed his advice and teachings every day. When I first joined Anesi, Rapid was very inactive. His beloved teacher had just passed away, and I felt for the guy. He came back one day as I was helping the group owner, then known as tristianok, host a flight. The flight ended in an exploited disaster, but Rapid had shown up at the end. I won't forget the welcome back party we threw on the tarmac. Rapid has shown me, and continues to show me, how to be a proper HR. He is cool under pressure, he ensures that a group will only get the best out of its staff and HRs, he makes sure that the events go well, and he will never be easily defeated. Even after the tragic events that had taken place in his life, he was still determined to help Anesi whenever he could. I respect that, and I take that to the heart. He has shown me that being an HR in a group does not mean all fun and games, but it doesn't mean complete and total seriousness either. RapidPoolLover is the epitome of a High Rank. He is what every group wants and needs out of an HR. Even when he was dealing with a lot of his own problems, when things weren't exactly going well for him or for Anesi, he made sure he did what he could. He listened to Anesi. Rapid, if you are reading, Thank you. For all you have done for Anesi and for what you have taught me.
To everyone reading: These people have truly changed the way I am in groups. They have shown me what it means to be in a group, what it means to be a high rank, etc. I do have some quotes by each of them that surely will inspire some of you.
"When you are in the 303rd, you are part of a family that is united together. Don't forget that, people." ~ Kason3, my third training upon joining the 303rd
"Don't worry if combat is not your forte, guys. Practice is essential, and that's what trainings are for. We set the faces in the beginning just for time's sake. The real reason for a training is for obedience and for combat." ~ MissClone, the training in which I ranked to Master Sergeant in the 303rd
"Anesi needs good, strong HRs that know what they are doing. It needs people that aren't going to kill it and make everyone leave, competent people to make sure people get what they want. That's why he was fired, because he wasn't an HR. He was rude, disrespectful. To be an HR you need to be patient. You need to be ready. You need to be strict and you need to take control. An HR isn't just a rank, people, it's a privelage and it's a duty. Do it." ~ RapidPoolLover upon firing multiple members of Anesi, and promoting me to Chief Staff Officer
I hope you all have read this, and I hope at least some of you feel somewhat inspired. I recommend you all go read thebootsie123's biography (forum(DOT)roblox(DOT)com/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=191489523). thebootsie123 is another great influence on the way I am now involved in groups, and the only way to describe him and the ways he has helped me is to read his own autobiography. After this last period, you are dismissed. Thank you.
Thank you for reading. Sincerely, Masterman6623 |
