Filtering Enabled was good, until RC7 was cracked. Personally, FE kinda drives me nuts sometimes when coding, but I did it so the game would be less exploitable. Since the new exploit was cracked, it seems almost useless to use FE as it just takes more time and work. Anyways, this is just my opinion.

How does FE have anything to do with a random exploit

FE is suppose to prevent exploits. With the new exploit cracked, it pretty much renders FE as inoperable

How? Thinks you do client sided will stay client sided if FE is enabled, it's not like the exploit is running on the server lmao

Unless that exploit somehow controls the server, then I highly doubt it has anything to do with FE.

I believe people have been manipulating remote events

Well that's not a FE problem. Don't leave sensitive stuff on the client.

I know, but all in all FE is a pain for me atleast. It just doesn't seem worth it

Even if some exploits could totally bypass FE, by not having FE you're making hacks completely effortless, to the point that it can be done by anyone with almost any software.

Do you want exploits to replicate to the server of your game? No? Use FE. If you don't care, then don't, but you might as well get used to it. It's better practice to just always have it enabled.

it's pretty easy to defend against bypass cheat engine tricks, but the only reason you would need FE is to protect yourself against those nastily lvl 7 exploits with explorers

FE expands what you can do by a lot besides just helping to stop exploits.

If you are making Linear Interpolation animations (Like I do), it's a lot easier to make them smooth, 60 fps, for all characters, on your cilent, because Renderstepped wait times are different for all cilents (One guy could have 60 fps and another could have 30). Kinda hard to explain but yea. Also I have a script that detects and bans people with RC7.

My friend had a thing that crashed people who opened workspace. Don't know how it worked.

FE's not that hard to work with, and it honestly makes a LOT more sense if you know anything about the Client-Server model.

There is a script which allows you to turn FE off. Or you can just get a Explorer script and turn it off manually. Which is pretty easy.

^ Lol if you actually used a script to turn it off.

Wow the guy above me is a moron. Tell ya what, here's the code to "turn FE off": game.Workspace.FilteringEnabled = false Why don't you tell me how much luck you have with using that to exploit? Anyway, if people are abusing your remote events with RC7, that's not a fault of FE. If you thought having a ChangeProperty event that could change any property on any block was a good idea, that's not FE's fault, that's your own. If you want to use FE effectively, you need to make sure that the server has the final say. Having a remote event that changes a player's money to whatever the client requests is only slightly better than not having FE at all. Use proper client-server modelling and this will be a non issue.

You're so stupid if you think changing the FilteringEnabled property is actually going to work.

I don't think anybody wants to know. You're probably some moron from v3rm who thinks he's a hacker for using exploits that he didn't even make. Yeah. very cool mister.
