July 20, 1969. Humanity landed on the moon.
December 28, 2083. We discovered aliens on the far reaches of our solar system.
January 1, 2084. The aliens arrive at our planet and greet us in our own language. The aliens are humans from a distant planet they named "Kaldur." Apparently, Earth was an early colony, but contact was lost around 7,000 BC. In that time, humanity on earth had nuked itself to near death. All the largest strange creatures, called dinosaurs, were irradiated, but many other species of animals survived. Meanwhile, as we've tried to recover from that loss, humanity has extended its reach and its technology. However, we've bumped against an alien society. Antagonists are what the humans refer to them as, and humans are at war with them. And losing. The humans quickly inform the U.N. of everything lost to them, and a search is called for adequate commanders.
You were called. You will be promoted to fleet admiral on return to Kaldur, and will lead a fleet to wage war on the Antagonists.
Rules: No overpowering yourself. You are human.
You fleet size will be dictated by the admins. No more will miraculously appear in your fleet, unless reinforcements arrive.
Your ships are not invincible, and neither are you.
Antags will be controlled by admins.

Callsign:
Flagship:
Requested number of ships in fleet:
Age:
Where do you wish to be assigned: Border Patrol, Offensive Fleet, or Reserve Fleet.
Border Patrol may skirmish Antags every once in a while, and may rarely have to deal with an Antag fleet. Will have some benefits from being close to home, such as repair, rearming, and the possibility of being withdrawn.
Offensive Fleet has the honor of directly attacking Antags and Antag-controlled systems. It will often have to be in combat, but will be more likely to perish. Can resupply directly from Antag-owned stocks.
Serve Fleet will rarely see combat, but will receive all benefits from being home. However, you may be called to the front in order to reinforce others, and may thusly have to relinquish command. |

(First RP I've ever made, don't judge.)
Ship classes:
Drone: Small fighters
Gauntlet: Dropships
Frigate: Small ships, lightly armed. Faster than destroyers
Destroyers: Small, medium armaments. Fast as light cruisers
Light cruisers: Small, but heavily armed and armored. Fast as destroyers
Heavy cruisers: Medium, twice as armored and armed as light cruisers. Faster than battlecruisers
Battlecruisers: Midsized-large, 3 times as armed and armored as heavy cruisers. Faster than battleships
Battleships: Large, about twice as armed as battle cruisers. Faster than dreadnoughts.
Dreadnoughts: Very large, about 3 times as armed and armored as battleships. Faster than titans
Titan: Extremely large, reserved for the fleet commanders. About 5 times as armed as dreadnoughts. Slower than any other ship.
Auxiliaries: Midsized-large, very lightly armed and armored, produces expendable weaponry and fuel cells. Faster than titan but just slower than dreadnought.
Turret types: Laser, which is accurate about 100 kilometers out, railgun, which is accurate to about 50 kilometers out, missiles, which are accurate to 7,000 kilometers out, and mines, which are accurate to the point of impact.
Typical velocities are about 3 kilometers a second.
There are shields.
(Because someone always asks that) |

^Sweet.
I'll accept 1 more person before the RP begins
(gauntlets and drones don't count towards fleet ships)
I'gonna give my fleet 60 drones (to be launched from dreads), 30 Gauntlets (From dreads, titans, and battleships), 50 frigates, 150 destroyers, 124 light cruisers, 56 heavy cruisers, 25 battlecruisers, 19 battleships, 6 dreads, 1 titan, and 6 auxiliaries.
437 ships total.
I'm insane, I'll have to keep track of them all. Oh well. |

(1 more person.
Just remember that your fleet can be destroyed and you can die in the role-play, and you can merge or form up with other fleets.) |
|
|
(My entire fleet has been heavily upgraded to make a small but elite squad.) |

(Well, since no one's coming, I might as well start.)
When I came out of warp, it took a moment for the headache that customarily arrives with warp to desist. I'd warped into an Antag border system which was nearly empty. The star was a yellow midsize star, with two planets and an asteroid belt inhabiting the system. Only one was habitable by either human or Antag standards, and it was barely far enough away to support life. The second planet was a frozen iceball far from the star. The only Antag presence were some small towns on the habitable planet and an old orbital military installation. I ordered two of my battleships to close on the installation, which should take only about three hours of travel time. The rest of the fleet will bypass the planet and fly straight for the warp point that should lead to an inhabitable system.
