Hard cap:
Each team gets 100 spaces to fill their roster. Each player has their own minimum space ranking.
If a player has spent 2 seasons on a team, the team may go over 30 spaces to sign said player(s).
Ex. So If a team has 94/100 spaces, and have a player in F/A, they may offer that player max 36 spaces, to full out the 100 spaces, and 30 extra.
If you’ve been an MVP in the past 3 seasons, you must be given at least 15 spaces.
If a player is ranked High-level, they must be given at least 10 spaces
If a player is ranked Mid-level, they must be given at least 7 spaces
If a player is ranked Low-level, they must be given at least 5 spaces
If a player is said to have a veteran exception, they can be given as low as 3 spaces
If a player is a Rookie and Drafted, they take up no space.
If a player is a Rookie and Undrafted, they must take up at least 1 space.
If a player is released, half of the spaces they take up on a team from a contract will remain on the roster. Ex. If a player takes up 8 spaces, and is released by a team, the team that cut them will still have to keep 4 spaces for the remainder of their contract.
Waivers:
Any player under contract may be placed on waivers ("waived") at any time. After DBL's trade deadline and through to the end of the season, a team must place a player on waivers if that player is to be traded.
If a player is waived, any team may claim him. If more than one team claims the player from waivers, the team with the weakest record in the player's league gets preference. If no team in the player's league claims him, the claiming team with the weakest record in the other league gets preference. In the first month of the season, preference is determined using the previous year's standings.
If a team claims a player off waivers and has a viable claim as described above, his current team (the "waiving team") may choose one of the following options:
• arrange a trade with the claiming team for that player within two business days of the claim; or
• rescind the request and keep the player on its major league roster, effectively canceling the waiver; or
• do nothing and allow the claiming team to assume the player's existing contract, pay the waiving team a waiver fee, and place the player on its active major league roster.
If a player is claimed and the waiving team exercises its rescission option, the waiving team may not use the option again for that player in that season—a subsequent waiver would be irrevocable with a claiming team getting the player essentially for nothing.[6] If no team claims a player off waivers after three business days, the player has cleared waivers and may be assigned to a minor league team, traded (to any team), or released outright.
Draft Lottery:
The Draft lottery will work much like the NBA lottery. Each team gets a certain amount of “ping pong balls” to win the #1 pick. Draftpicklottery.com will be used. Worst record gets best chances; best record gets best chances. Every team has a chance to win the lottery, even if they win the championship. It is based on regular season records, not results afterwards.

On the Waivers, it was copy/paste from the actual MLB rules. So, to clear up.
If you let a team take a player you waiver, you no longer have to hold their cap space on your team, and the team that takes that player will only take up HALF of what the original contract was. So again, the example if a player is 8 spaces, the team that cuts them still has 4 in their cap space, well, this is the example here:
If a team claims a player off the waivers with 8 spaces, and it is let through, they only take a 4 space cap hit.
IN BOTH CUTTING AND WAIVING A PLAYER, THE RANKING LIMITS DONT MATTER, IF YOU WAIVE OR CUT AN MVP LEVEL PLAYER WITH 20 SPACES, AND YOU WILL STILL HOLD 10 SPACES, REGUARDLESS IF THE MINIMUM OF AN MVP CONTRACT IS 15 SPACES.
RANKINGS WILL BE UPDATED FOR PLAYERS NO LONGER UNDER CONTRACT, AND ONLY WILL SHOW THE PLAYERS FOR THE UPCOMING FREE AGENCY. |

UPDATE ON TEAM OWNERSHIP:
THE SEATTLE SKYDUCKS WILL BE OWNED BY RKOKINGSOMOOO, NOT BRENDOGROBLOX |
|
|
ADDITION TO WAIVERS:
IF A PLAYER PASSES THROUGH AND NO ONE TAKES HIM/HER IN WAIVERS, THEN THE CAP SPACE TAKEN IS COMPLETELY DROPPED |

no offense but..
WHAT KIND OF RULES ARE THESE TF?!?! |
|
|
In the Draft Lottery odds, its Bulls (via Aliens), Not Aliens (via Bulls).
Aliens gave draft rights to their first, second, third picks for S11, and First, second picks in S12 for 3 players, which include massivemw3 |

Actually they're not that bad.
Kudos! |

The rules stop super teams with cap space, waivers are a real MLB rule, and the draft lottery was already talked about. |

FREE AGENCY RULES EXTENDED:
If a player is offered more than 3 offers (WITHIN THE 24 HOUR RULE), the player can only accept the top half of offers in order of who is offering the most.
Ex. Teams 1,2,3 and 4 offer a player. Teams 1 and 2 both offer 40 spaces, team 3 offers 30, team 4 offers 25.
That player can only accept Teams 1 and 2, because they had the highest offers, and they were on the top half of spaces offered.
- A player must wait 24 hours to accept an offer. This allows other teams to offer within this time limit, and offers coming directly before games, not allowing time to update ranks.
If team A offers player1 at 3 pm, they can accept at 3 pm the next day. Team B may offer player1 with in this time limit, and so may any other team. The same rules above apply, so, if Team A offers 13, and at least three other teams offer more, player1 must accept a team other than Team A, and the other team on the bottom half of the offered deals.
Basically: A player must wait a day to accept an offer, and if theyre offered by more than 33% of the league, (more than 3 teams), they can only accept the half of the teams offering the most spaces.
|
|
|
If a player is offered by 3 teams or less, they can accept any of the offers they've received. Keep in mind, they do not have to accept an offer. They can decline all offers, but may not sign. |

BOD vote to remove the 24 hour singing rule.
Issue was that players will go wherever they want to go. They can do so ASAP. |
