Warning! TL;DR So it's only takes up less than 3 minutes.
3 months ago, tickets were removed from ROBLOX, never to return in foreseeable future if this trend of hated acts continues.
What I have noticed, though was that some people said that tickets no longer mattered as they had little to no value, due to the high exchange rates in trade currency (The Rate was around 20).
I believe this reason for this devaluation was the addition of DevEx. Another, less significant factor was the price floor of 2013. I will now explain how the rates changed
Early 2013
Ticket Rates were quite low around this period, ranging from 5-10. Yes, I did say 5. 5 as in 5 Tickets for 1 ROBUX, pretty low right?
These rates did of course vary slightly, but were usually within or around this range.
Price Floor
ROBLOX added a price floor, which forced items to become more expensive. This meant that free items were no longer able to be made, and the minimum price for items was 300 Tix and 15 ROBUX, before being lowered to 100 Tix and 10 ROBUX.
Tickets rates began to soar to 18. Why? Because people were not able to freely spend as they could before, less tickets were being used. As many users get 10 tickets a day, this led to more and more tickets being in ROBLOX, devaluing the currency.
DevEx
Developers Exchange, commonly referred to as DevEx, is what I believe to be a prime contributor to this issue. DevEx allowed Outrageous Builders Club members exchange ROBUX for US Dollars.
How is this bad?
The ROBUX used in this system had nowhere to go, so simply vanished from the system. Considered the exorbitant amounts used in this, you should realize that is a lot of ROBUX gone.
The lack of ROBUX in the system meant it rose in value, raising the standard Ticket Rates to 19-26, devaluing the Tickets even more.
"...So?"
This shows that unspent Tickets and vanishing ROBUX led to Tix losing its value, which was once greater. What one must consider, was that both the Price Floor and DevEx were created by the ROBLOX Staff, the same people who removed the Ticket.
This shows that they contributed to the demise of the tickets, and later insulted ROBLOX Players more by deleting it.
Either this was poor management, or a highly well orchestrated communist plan to take over. |
