Marcus Edwards is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur academy. His usual position is an AM, but is decent at playing on either wing too. Edwards had 23 caps and 6 goals for the England U17s and 3 caps/4 goals for England U18.
Instantly I'm reminded by David Silva when I watch him. He's a left-footed player who holds quite a bit of pace. Strong dribbler and wonderful technique and ball control. Creative, nice vision on the pitch, and has good ability on set pieces as well. However, he's not that athletic and lacks in aerial duels(obviously).
You can expect him to play like a more modern attacking midfielder. Shoots from distance, likes to dribble. Good pace, and is always looking to create scoring chances. Very unpredictable player, and is best used if given a free role.
I can expect Edwards to break into the Spurs lineup in the 17/18 season. A bit more development and he should be well on his way towards reaching his potential.
