As of recent, we have seen an increase in competitive nature from all teams. Groups that frankly seemed destined for failure at the midway point of the season, have turned themselves into cup contenders over the last 2 weeks. If we look at Division B, we see all teams are separated by just a win or an OT loss of their closest competitor. In A, we see a 1 point advantage separating the final post season spot, from the out cast. With this being said I have received many people asking for a change in post season format. Down below, I will be asking the staff/board to pick one of two playoff formats.
1) Current playoff format - Top 2 teams from each Division square off in a 7 game series. Then, those winners will face each other in the finals, also a 7 game series.
2) Old Playoff format - Top 3 teams from each Division make it. The Divisional leaders will get a 6 day break as the bottom 2 seeds from each Division square off in a 5 game series. Then, the winners will face their respected Divisional Leaders in a 7 game series, and we will get our two Divisional champions that way.
