How do you determine the version?

I want to add the version of my game, it is currently v.0.0.0 Would it be v.1.1.1? Policeman of OT

Usually the first number indicates the progress of the game. A 0 means it's beta. A 1 means it's complete. the seconds number indicates the implementation of a new feature. The third number is ususally some patches, fixes or balancing.
