---Independence County Ride-Along Information Forum---
- Ride Along Requirements-
--- The civilian, must fill out an application , and read the Ride-Along Information.
--- The civilian should not have more than 1 felony, this includes your record since V3.
--- The civilian will obey the Corporal, Sergeant, or Lieutenant they are assigned to.
--- The ride-along should last about 1 patrol (1 hour).
--- The civilian will remain in the vehicle, at all times.
--- The Corporal, Sergeant, or Lieutenant assigned to the civilian will stay with the civilian at all times, they will not be permitted to respond to High Risk Calls (Felony 10-45's, Shots Fired, Shoot-Outs, Robberies, Evading Arrest Calls, Murders, Bank Robberies, Prison Escapes etc).
--- The civilian will remain in the vehicle at all times if they do not it may result in termination of their ride-along.
--- If the civilian disobeys any order given by the ride-along giver, the ride along will be terminated.
--- The ride-along Corporal, Sergeant, or Lieutenant, will not be permitted to place the civilian in danger, if they do they face serious risk of being suspended and banned from giving Ride-Alongs.
--- All applications for Ride-Alongs must be approved by the Patrol Services Commander, who will hold special classes about 1 hour long, to teach the Ride-Along givers, what goes on, what to do, etc.
--- Sheriff ADMUSA or the Patrol Services Commander, may terminate a ride-along at anytime.
--- Ride-Alongs are not permitted if the subject is in any gang association.
--- The person that applied for the ride-along will be searched for weapons prior to the ride-along.
--- The ride-alongs are intended to teach civilians who seek a possible career in Law Enforcement about the career.
--- The civilian riding with the deputy is required to wear a bullet-proof vest.
--- If the civilian endangers the ride-along in anyway (Makes threats, attacks people, gets out of the car etc.) the ride-along will be terminated.
