Lobster said "superior to every other genre of music because 'they did it first' or they 'influenced so and so.'" I totally disagree. I enjoy classical music almost as much as classic rock. Classical music totally did it first, AND they inspired a lot of newer genres. Then, when he said "they are under the false impression that every major classic rock band was formed by nothing short of musical deities who blessed this earth with their sound." Seriously????? Even my favorite classic rock band has some songs I really do not like! Every major one has some songs or even albums that are just total crap. Classic rock is my favorite genre, but do you seriously think that the metaphor that all classic rock fans think the major bands were made by musical deities is actually true? |
