Why does this happen?

I always get this weird glitch where when i play a game for a specific amount of time (note that I don't know for how long until it happens) My game ether freezes but I can here the sounds, for which I have to shut my Mac down then turn it back on, or my game freezes with no sound and puts me back on the webpage. If you know why, or how I can fix this, please reply to this, I would appreciate it. Thanks

It's very likely that it has to do with your computer/laptop as it might not have the necessary hardware to run ROBLOX. My old Mac started giving up on me when playing ROBLOX a few years ago and it was similar to yours but instead the whole game froze including the sounds. I think it might has to do with your graphics card.

But now i can't fix my fullscreen toggle, i press the button, but it does not switch, so I'm stuck in the fullscreen off mode

you have speaker and maybe bad wifi if this continues, you can contact roblox about it

Game freeze usually happens before "Game shut down" or "You lost connection" it's likely to happen for everyone in server you have been playing.
