Each teams will be playing each other once. That means there will be 3 games for each teams (There's 4 total teams) Each of these games will be a series. A 3 game series to be accurate. World Series will be a 5 game series. This means, a total of 9 games will be played in regular season and 14 overall. The team with a better record will advance to the World Series (1 from each league)
If this season was a TV show, it would be the Pilot episode. Meaning that this will determine if games go right and people like what MLB has in store, then the season will continue to a much longer and better season.
