Hawaii was really nice. I also liked Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda. I went on a cruise that stopped over there when I was young and got a bag full of the pink sand on the beach there. Still got it sitting in my room. What's nice is that I'm going on another cruise in August and we'll be going there again. Really looking forward to it it was one of my favorite beaches all time.

I'd rather visit another pacific island other than hawaii. yes, hawaii is beautiful but i'd rather go to a smaller island with less tourists. examples could be American Samoa

my dad has an old air force/DoD buddy and his wife, a former vice admiral or rear admiral or something above commander, who live in hawaii so we have the luxury of staying over at their house whenever we go i would say try to get away from the tourist stuff as much as possible... sure it is nice and luxurious and you feel like you're living the high life but there is so much natural beauty that you can't find in places like, no offense jim, those giant hotels in maui we went to kauai for a couple days and saw the canyons there... just staggeringly beautiful, can't put it into words
