i mean there is a wage gap but it has nothing to do with the gender of the worker. if it did then why aren't women dominating the workforce if they're significantly cheaper to hire?
it's next to impossible for there to be a gender-related wage gap because there is literally nobody with the exact same amount of work experience, skills, personality (work ethic), education, etc.
not to mention all of those heavily-quoted wage gap statistics (17%) take every single person from any job. there's far more male CEOs than female CEOs, and that alone will have a very large affect on the average wage per gender.

the reason i said it's 2% at max is because obviously not everyone is going to get the same pay check 100% of the time, because that's just stupid

there's just so many factors for the wage of an employee that it's simply impossible to make a wage gap percentage that is even somewhat accurate, much less able to be used in a debate.
