"4. What is the hardest part of being a teenager now? What’s the best part? What advice would you give a younger sibling or friend (assuming they would listen to you)?" god i can just imagine the cringey responses they will get from this one. people attempting to sound sophisticated using words they don't know to prove a statement they have trouble defining. smh.

the #1 thing i've heard (though they were talking about the highly selective colleges) was write what you want to write, not what you think the admissions counselors want to hear - everyone is writing like that and you won't stand out

yeah i am not some copy and paste formulaic "this is what they want to hear" writer, never have been i would rather have no constraint and then just have them throw out the idiots who write 7 pages to allow people who actually know how to write do what we are capable of
