There's an epidemic of people copying clothing now. Clothing designers can not charge higher prices than the minimum R$5 because as soon as their clothing becomes at all popular, fakes start spreading like wildfire at R$5.
For example, the Identity Team Mystic Hoodie, R$14, we used to come up when you typed in "Team Mystic" on the clothing page and we'd get some sales that way. Now you don't find ours, but a couple of fakes which have both generated multiple sales in a 12 hour period.
This is THEFT and it is ruining growth opportunities for smaller clothing companies.
I motion that ROBLOX tries to:
1) Make copying clothing to sell a bannable offense, and if reported the copied clothing will be swifly taken down followed by a warning/small ban.
2) Try to introduce a system to stop different people uploading exact copies of clothing previously uploaded. Or at least stop them from selling it. |

I agree I can never find the real author of the clothing and I hate ##### shirts that were copied ._. |

Then don't charge more than R$5. The only difference between clothes "designers" and clothes copiers is that the designers search google for stuff to steal without permission, while copiers steal from the site without permission.

You obviously know nothing about clothing design. I manage a group of highly talented designers who spend hours hand crafting their items. |

Yes, because this:

Was clearly not just copy pasted on to a black template with MS paint. |

That's not our clothing.
Just because some games are a baseplate with a few free models added. Doesn't mean there aren't games which people spent weeks developing to perfection such as Phantom Forces.
I can see you're an angry young man but there's no need to take out your anger on clothing designers losing out because their work is being stolen and resold. |

The problem is that this issue has been around for an extremely long time, and many previous motions to change the current system were simply ignored.
I support this completely, but there are some things that would need to be considered.
What is considered clothing copying? Copying an entire outfit, or using shading or outlines from another outfit, how would ROBLOX detect this?
What if a friend gave you permission to use / upload his or her clothing or templates?
How would we be able to receive templates on the site, to add to mannequins and players in game without having people steal the templates?
Until this problem is fixed, my suggestion would be to just upload all your clothing for 5 robux, you'll receive more sales and get just the same amount of money without having as many people copy your clothing. I don't see the point why some designers upload their clothing for more than twice the amount of the price floor.

"All you did was take some basic hoodie template, recolored the middle and back"
That isn't a generic hoodie template, the designer had to manually shade and create all outlines for the shirt, unless you can find me proof that hoodie has been used already somewhere else.
"Still want to tell me clothing designing is an art that takes hours upon hours of dedication? Because it looks like a cheap cash-in on a popular gaming trend to me."
It takes years of practice in order to make "decent" money from designing clothing almost every single time. Just like with being a large group owner, or a developer, you need to learn the trades in order to "cash-in". |

This is not ROBLOX's issue, it is a community issue.
Regarding your 2nd option, there is no way to achieve that without it being bypassed.

They're both a hoodie, so you'd be a fool if you'd expect them to look completely different.
The designer manually shaded every part of the hoodie, and manually made every outline and made 4 different Coloured versions of it for Pokemon GO.
If you want to trash a designer, you must have a better argument. |

Well let's get back to the issue at hand then - what right does he have to profit off of Pokemon GO? Why does he deserve currency that can be converted to real world money for selling something with an image he is not entitled to use?
He's simply ripping off an image created by the game's designers. Even if he made his own hoodie template, he's still just slapping a logo he found on google on top of it. So, at the end of the day, unless he's giving a significant cut of his proceeds to the Pokemon GO devs, he's not really any better than a clothing copier, is he? |

Didn't think of this until now.

the assets used to make clothes have to be put somewhere so roblox is just going to put them on the website because that's the easiest thing to do |

Your argument is starting to make less and less sense, and as much as I'd love to continue this discussion, there is no point. |

As a clothing designer, I fully support. The thing is this is a huge problem in such a small community, every clothing designer is going to have to step up and try to make this happen.
