Recently, many users have been constantly trying to claim these private groups that are locked with the previous owner leaving. With that being said, if an owner were to leave their group, they have two days to reclaim it. If the owner does not reclaim their group within 2 days, the group will be set to public and anyone who wishes to claim the group may do so. This would be very helpful when it comes to super clans, or any other forms of groups if a security attack or a problem were to occur towards the owner. To be honest, with this idea that I have to offer, you could benefit from funds, name snipes, or even revive these private groups. (Only applies to groups with over 100+ members & a timer will countdown next to the group's name, where everyone could see when the time left to claim the group)
-Modifying AkatUme's idea, if a group were to be abandoned with 100 members or less, the groups pending permission will be automatically turned off.

The owners paid Robux for the group, it is theirs. They can do whatever they want with it. If that's locking and abandoning it then so be it.
Names being taken up? Doesn't matter.
Funds? Doesn't matter.
Security attacks? I guess, but it's minimal chance.
They paid for it, they decide what happens. |

Good idea m8, one time I got hacked and owned a small group I liked, but he fired everyone and made the group private. I did get the group back, however, I had to go through ROBLOX's customer service which literally took WEEKS to finish. |

You have a point, but what is the goal of paying 100 robux for a group then locking and abandoning it?

No support. Shutdown groups should stay shut down because the owner is the one who chose to shut it down. Many probably wouldn't make groups private and leave if that happens, they wanted it to be that no one else could use it. NO support. |

The moment a group owner chooses to leave their group, they are giving up all rights to that group.

Imagine it like property rights.
Someone buys a house; They no longer want that house. So, they do everything they would have to do to make it so they are no longer the owner of said house.
Now that they have left the house and are officially no longer the owner, do they still have rights to say who can and can not claim that house thereafter? Of course they don't. It's no longer their house. |
