Secretly, the US made some deals with the Union of Benelux, Greece and the Kalmar Union. For the Union of Benelux, they wanted a trade system between them and for the US to open some ports in the Dutch East Indies. In trade back, the US will open their "plan" to the Dutch East Indies.
With Greece, the US wants an exchange of weapons or a Lend-Lease Act with Greece. This means that Greece can get the US's weapons while the US can recieve their weapon. The US also wants to support Greece partially on the Grecco-Italian confict. In grade back, the US wants to have some soldiers in Greece.
With the Kalmar Union, the US want military alpine tools and 1 base in Northern Norway open for their troops for Arctic Training for a new special forces. In trade back the US will start alpine training in Alaska with the new tools.
[Military]
In response to the firing of the USSR's navy, the US starts firing on the USSR's ships and planes. 2 Carriers are sent to Korea to deploy planes. Japan is used for airbases as well. Bombers come out of Japan to bomb Soviet ships supported by fighters from US Carriers which are flown to try to intercept Russian planes trying to weaken the Navy. Torpedoes fire from the US's submarines underwater hoping not to be noticed. More torpedoes fire from the warships to damage Soviet ships.
Meanwhile the Military bases in South Korea along with the 100,000 US troops from the ships and 75 tanks are trying to hold Korea. Luckily for the US they have saw this invasion coming and have tanks and AA guns to support the US defense forces yet they are outnumbered by Soviet troops. They start making a defense line halfway between Busan and Seoul knowing that they cannot win if they don't hold themselves.
[Foreign Affairs]
The US found out who is responsible for the funding outage. They pledge support on taking it out and are planning to send 2 thousand troops to try to take it down despite finding it after the Soviets.
America continues sending money to the Western countries. They also send supplies to Berlin.
[Research]
The US is getting ready for 650 Japanese planes to be used with the US Air Force in the Korean War. They are also completing their third rocket engine which will be their final rocket engine. It is expected to be done by Spring 1948.

[Resolution 002 Decision]
-Due to the overwhelming support for the demilitarization of the Albanian border, the UN assembly concludes the following restriction be placed, this section however is only placed upon Italy:
~"The Kingdom of Italy, who resolution 002 is directed towards will submit to the removal of all military personnel and equipment from the previous sovereign Albanian borders by at least five miles. However, this provision will allow for the lawful positioning of three hundred law enforcement and military personnel along these borders to regulate immigration and border extradition policies."
~"The Symphono Armoniki, to ensure there is peace in the region, will reduce their military presence along borders with the Kingdom of Italy, by two miles. However, this provision will also allow for three hundred military and law enforcement personnel along these borders to regulate immigration and border extradition policies."
~"The final accord to this resolution will see the observation of UN personnel within this border announced and or unannounced, these observers will be citing any violation of this resolution and request a formal investigation into the government that has made the violation. UN personnel further more will have the highest authority while within this zone, and is therefore able to make reasonable inquiries at any time to personnel within this zone, without the interference of a regional officer. Interference or perjury will subsequently result in an investigation and will be responsible for further resolutions against either governments."
This concluded the special UN assembly in Canberra, Australia. The assembly has been moved for the next three months to Amsterdam due to the continuing conflict in Korea.
[UN Military Operations]
-With the arrival of volunteers in Africa, regional commanders separate the USSR and US personnel into task forces and authorize several orders of intervention in the warlord camps around Central Africa, the operation is named "Operation Spiderweb", and involves task forces to spread across the continent on military operations to arrest these warlords and recapture the supplies stolen from aide camps across the continent. The US and other forces will spread from NW-NE, while the Soviets will campaign from the SW-SE. The operation is expected to conclude sometime in 1948.
[UN Announcements]
-Resolution 002 goes into immediate effect, while Resolution 001 is voided in respect to the peace and prosperity of the region that is expected. Ambassadors alert both Italian and Symphono Armoniki governments that they have three weeks to comply to Resolution 002 before an investigation is launched against the offending nation(s).
-United Nation ambassadors cordially extend the offer of membership in the assembly to the Italian government under one condition; compliance to Resolution 002. If they actively comply with the resolution, they will be admitted to the UN under a probationary term of one year of active compliance. This probationary period means they may be ejected within this one year period immediately for any violation of Resolution 002, or any heinous military aggression against a nation or ethnic group. However, after one year, the probationary period will end and they will not fear *immediate ejection by their peers afterwards.

-One member of the Interregnum council was assassinated yesterday, he was campaigning for a radical liberal position, unlike the rest of the council who were seen as more conservative, and fascist rather than said member. The resulting loss has sparked widespread riots among the younger generation who were standing behind him, but after a week of police work and suppression, the streets returned to normal, small protests being held instead which were allowed, but leaders were typically arrested days later and held in captivity for a few days before being allowed to return back to the general population.
-The empty Interregnum councilor seat was taken over by a young, nationalist official, to try and attract the younger generation back to the nationalist regime.
-The nationalist agenda is proceeding as planned, exceptionally well as Australia has begun to militarily and influentially. The future is "expected to be promising for the Australian people" as one spokesperson has mentioned.
[Foreign Affairs]
-The Australian task force abides by Symphono Armoniki authority and evacuates the Balkans to Greece.
-Australia begins to secretly coordinate military operations with the Soviets, they explain that with the arrival of the Iraq-Iran war, there is a position opened up for invasion under the casus belli of "Liberation and a cease to bloodshed". They orchestrate that the Soviets will push for Tehran, and Australians in Bandar Abbas. Both ground forces will push to pocket the Iranian forces on their border with Iraq, and they will surrender who face a two front battle. Australia wants to split Iran in half between the two, right at the 33rd parallel. the Soviet's will get the north, Australia the south. They instruct that once the Australians land ground forces, the operation will begin.
[Military]
-The evacuation of the Balkans to Greece results in only a small destroyer task force with minimal infantry and artillery men remaining. Maybe only forty men left on base. The rest of the task force has sailed for the Suez and is currently requesting passage through the Suez.
-Special forces units are transported by plane to Hormuz, they will begin operations from there and clear out a landing zone for the ground forces to safely push from in Bandar Abbas. They sabotage any military fortification that could harm the fleet and infiltrate military barracks nearby and quietly subdue the garrisons. ZSU, DRU, and the 12th MSIB are responsible for these actions accordingly. Meanwhile, DRU is spreading across Iran to secure the safest travelling routes.
-Active military personnel make up the bulk of the military forces being sent to Iran by ship, the reserves maintain fire support roles and other expendable positions. These forces are expected to be the best infantrymen the Australian military has to offer, with 10,000 motorized infantry, 3,500 towed support artillery, 200 Churchill's, and one escort carrier with a destroyer escort are on their way to link up with the Mediterranean task force in the Gulf for the operation. |

The United States drops in 7 thousand paratroopers on the Sudan-Congo border and 5 thousand on Southern Algeria before the USSR can drop in any. This is because of advances in American Technology including jet flight. The US Divisions in North Africa are 108th "Desert Troopers" and 109th "Dust Devils". They are supported by bombers in the air.

Plans are being discussed and drawn for a new battleship called the "BSS Amsterdam", with thicker armor and heavier guns. It is expected to be the start of the planned Nederlanden-class battleships. Another class called the Belgie-class is also considered.

The situation in Symphono Armoniki has solidified. The separatists in Bulgaria are the most rebellious and encompassing. They hold significant sway in Plovdiv and Sofia. The fascists in Macedonia are contained to Skopje where parades and protests are frequent - with a worrying amount of soldiers joining in too. Finally, the communists in Greece proper are the few but highly educated. Thus, communism is stuck largely to universities. There is a few fringe elements that put significant risk in a politician's life but they are in the minority.
A protest sweeps through Skopje again. Signs being held demand the conquer of Constantinople for vengeance against the crimes that Turkey has inflicted against the Balkans, if not worse.
Separatists attempt to torch a police station and are moderately successful before being driven off. One conspirator is captured and the station is saved, with frustratingly a large portion of it burned down. |

-Operation Spiderweb is of no concern to Australia since it's aide sent in extremely minimal, however, planning is carefully considered to put forth Australian infantry into Africa to support the UN campaign there.
-GDP is steady now, and offers a superb lifestyle for the average Australian worker, supplied with benefits and an excellent salary, immigration is steadily rising as well as household sizes for supporting large families.
[Military]
-The Mediterranean task force links with the Iranian task force in the Gulf and has made their way off the shore of Hormuz, launching fighters to ensure air superiority and maintain reconnaissance from the sky. Close air support bombers are also launched in mass to support the landing operations as equipment is moved to the shores of Bandar Abbas. Due to the work by special forces, the response to these landings is mainly ill-equipped law enforcement officials and they surrender quickly in the face of Churchill's and Land Rovers pushing up the beach.
-DRU marks objectives and routes on maps that are then sent to high command to oversee. The plan is for the motorized assault to quickly spread across the region and subdue local barracks who have minimal personnel available due to the reinforcements sent to the Iranian border. They intend to reach eastward to Khash and secure the shorelines with Marines, while the second motorized group pushes westward with the bulk of the forces to Dezhul to set up the front line with the Iranian military forces along the border, likewise Marines securing the shoreline towns along the way.
-HMAS Sydney and HMAS Canberra remain to provide fire support with two escort carriers, one light cruiser and eight destroyers, since the Iranian fleet is in severe lack of modern firepower and numbers, many ships approach the fleet with a white flag, while the others are usually scuttled in port. Two destroyers however do try to combat the task force and are both quickly sunk by a barrage by HMAS Sydney. Three pre-war destroyers however are acquired after the surrender to Australian forces.
[Research]
-Computing assists in the design of FAS Australia, as this involved scaling the Yamato slightly to the desired tonnage of the battleship. This therefore provided a base for reworking newer technology and a sleeker design for the plans. Research has now been bumped up from low priority to normal priority to get it moving along.
-The molding system for the AUAR feeding mechanism has run into issues and will have to be reworked again after a total system failure resulted in the production of one hundred mechanisms that either couldn't fit or failed to properly feed rounds into the chamber.

-The AUAR is presented to DRU since the weapon is able to be suppressed. They will provide the premier testing of the weapon in both training and combat situations. This required the weapons to be rigorously tested prior to being shipped out to their training facility in bulk, one hundred units tested and supplied within two weeks. |
