If you haven't heard, the ROBLOX database from 2012 got hacked and stolen, and is now being sold across the black market.
Information included in the leak:
Usernames
UserIDs
Payment info (address, last 4 digits of CC)
Email
All IP addresses
Now that it has been stolen, it would be irresponsible for the ROBLOX Corporation to NOT offer Identity Theft protection for all users affected by the breach.
Why?
Now that the users' address and email address (full name if on email) has been leaked, anything bad can happen to the user, from identity theft to extortion.
Not only that, most users on ROBLOX are minors. ROBLOX is responsible for the 100k+ MINORS that have been leaked.
Most reputable sites that get breached offer identity theft protection to all users. It makes sense -- the site is responsible for the users' security, so they should compensate for damaging a person's security and well-being.
So with that being said, why isn't ROBLOX offering some sort of Identity Theft protection to the users affected? Their "solution" is just to offer 2FA in the future. That is a nice update, but that doesn't offer any protection to the users already affected. It seems a little too late to offer 2FA; it should already have been implemented a long time ago.

and roblox would be an accessory to the crime |
