He still played in very bad highschool ball. His speed wasn't able to be matched and he was a big dude. Of COURSE he'd look good in highschool.
He knows one route, hardly saw the field at Mizzou, had a DV incident, had a DUI incident, argued with coaches, showed inability to commit to the game and learn it, showed inability to learn the playbook.
All he had was the ability to run a go route and be big.
Now that he plays in the more athletic NFL, the advantage of his physical tools is diminished and it shows in his play. He doesn't have a route tree, he's not that quick for the league, and he can still only run a go route. He can't learn a playbook, he can't work for the team, he can't seem to agree with coaches.
There's a reason he was 5th on the Titans' depth chart of very bad WRs. |
