because if you can pass it effectively it maximizes your chances of scoring
if you watch a game you'll notice offenses try shrinking the defensive wall to give their wingers a better chance. if the defense is covering wide the backs will drive the middle and shoot
you'll rarely see someone shoot from outside the 9m line |
