I feel that you should be able to pick your favorite badges that you earned from games and be able to list them on your profile. (Like your Groups tab on your profile) Instead of a valuable badge you worked hard on earning being lost by new badges in your, "Player Badge" profile section, you could save it in your, "Favorite Badges" tab where you can show off your favorite badge.
And if you didn't want it there would be an option to disable the tab.
