Hello S&I, I've finally gotten in a stage where I'm awake enough to write a long suggestion that nobody will read. TL;DR: read the title and the last part if you want to. My suggestion is simple, allow developers to delete games off the face of ROBLOX to never be seen again. Why, you might ask? Here, take a look at this youtube video I made from my old account full of games that I started but never achieved the motivation to revisit and work on it some more, even when I learned how to code in Lua: (video can be seen on my channel which is below in my siggy, roblox won't let me post this with the link included. Fun, huh?) This is annoying, as you can see in the video link above, for several reasons. First, if a user wants to find a certain game or start working on an old project, they must sift through hundreds of inactive and discontinued games in their develop page to find the certain one, and there's always that chance they'll miss it and restart. (yes, you can do CTRL+F and type in the name, but this still doesn't fix it, as 1] they might not remember the name of the game, and 2] the game might be under the 'more places' tab and still won't come up. Continuing on, some players, like me, absolutely hate when things are disorganized. Once, I spent about three hours deleting all of my badges that weren't things I'm proud of. Badges such as "you visited!" or "you won one round!" were wiped (this is before the easier way to do it was implemented earlier this year, so it took a bit of time.) Afterwards, in about a week I had gained back twice as many badges. It annoyed me quite a bit. I have also spent hours writing "inactive" on all my games on a shared developing account by me and my friend, which was of course buried between new ideas and new failed games we made. With clothing items, we can delete them, yeah. Just press the little gear icon in the top and delete. It's still on ROBLOX, yet it's not in my inventory, I find this useful when donating or when I accidentally buy a shirt that looks terrible/makes me feel humiliated. With games, I can't see why this isn't a feature yet. There's only one real issue I can think of: when users get PG'd, fall for the scams, or just get stolen, others may delete the game. The only solution I can think of is some form of verification on the settings. Also, to start deleting games, you would need to check your mail and click a link to enable deleting games, so players who PG you or use the scams wouldn't be able to delete them if you haven't checked the box. This way, big developers wouldn't have to worry about someone getting in their acc to delete items. Alternatively, there could be a 30-day system where a game is kept "in limbo" for one month until it's deleted. This way, any users who lose their account or decide they don't want to delete it can reobtain it and not have to bother ROBLOX support about it. This would also be nice for purchases such as hats and gear, but that's for another day. ________________________________________________________________________________________ TL;DR: We should be able to delete places and keep them in a limbo state for 30 days if we decide not to delete it or the account who holds the games gets stolen by someone else. We can do this with shirts, pants, etc, so why not games? People like me who enjoy things neat and clean would love to be able to sort through them every once in awhile and get rid of the trash. Also, duplicates are just annoying. ________________________________________________________________________________________ If you think this is a good suggestion, please support it. If this gets known enough, I may send it into ROBLOX and see what they have to say. Alternatively, if you don't support this please explain why and I'll try to come up with a solution. Thank you for reading, whether it was the TL;DR or the long version, I appreciate it. Also, a sidenote, if things don't make sense, I've been revising this for 10 minutes to figure out what ROBLOX is filtering. It's real annoying that a perfectly fine message with no explicit language is getting deleted continuously. bleach.avi has stopped working [/watch?v=rLpQoS2DGsY] [?PostID=197266891]
