They pretty much did this already. You can import custom meshes as .fbx files, haven't done it myself, but it was added. I don't understand why Roblox exports models as .obj but can't import them back.

I didn't say I didn't know how to use it, I just haven't felt inclined to upload the things I make in Maya, as most of them are well over 5000 polys. What could I possibly make under 5k polys that I could possibly need. A tree? Grass? Maybe a rock or some decorations for a table. Nothing important.

My entire field of study is 3D modeling, digital imaging, animation, concept art, programming, and storywriting for games. (Interactive Media and Game Design.) Making a custom 3D model is easy. I don't know why you assume that I'd steal someone else's work. Just because it's something you can't do, doesn't mean someone else isn't capable of doing it. You could do it yourself, but I don't think you can afford the $185/month to purchase a software subscription. To me, Roblox is a hobby that I work with in my spare time.

No support. In terms out of ROBLOX, FBX is capable of storing animation information, something that OBJ doesn’t support. Now lets connect us to ROBLOX. OBJ importing would cause your CPU to pull more data, because the required attributes would be stored who knows where.

Not to mention, FBX is more easier to design with compared to OBJ.

i have a feeling that the person who didn't support probably read the "OBJ import" and that's it
