The SF community is dead. We’re bringing it back.
Recently, in an ambitious, starkly straightforward war declaration, Relics took aim at a few well-sized sword guilds. Perhaps in 2014, during the height of meadows prevalence and competitive swordsmanship this might of stoked a few reactions. A ripe, perilous vase of excitement? Maybe even a few flagrant ‘cringes’ wrapped in condescending remarks. Whatever the reaction, it’s a reaction nonetheless, and it’s evidence of a healthy, active community enjoying itself.
Right now we’re faced with the exact opposite. A decaying, inactive sword community. The real, modern reaction to Relics’ declaration was a boring, disappointing bundle of excuses. A non-reaction really. Various ‘leaders’ bluntly wore their inactivity, as if it were a suitable defense for not responding to a war declaration. When did a complete inability to respond to raids become the acceptable standard between sword clans? When did people come to believe this was a good way of running clans?
Unlike a few inattentive clan leaders, Reversonal, and the remaining SF world are unwilling to let our exciting pastime die. Swords are simple, but depthful; Compellingly competitive and always fun.
We intend to revitalize the community through our community group, The Sword Fighting Community. The community will feature ( subject to feedback ):
- Compelling Interclan Battles Systems
- Community Hub / Clan Advertising
- Denial of Service (DoS) protection
- Fair, non-corrupt Administrators to oversee all events
- Global scripts that get rid of all exploiters, cheaters and cancerous members from our community
This general outline is tentative and incomplete. A more fleshed out and detailed description will be provided in an upcoming guide. If you would like to help out in development ( script, build, graphics ) or administrative works ( structure ), please send a private message to Reversonai.

Lol this has been said way too many times and has yet to happen. Goodluck, it won't happen. Unless someone can change something about sword fighting in general and actually make it fun and worth participating in, until then, it will remain dead. |

The sword fighting community can die out because lies and hate lay on it. For example the fact that sword fighting requires no skill and is just to do with forcetying or luck, lol? This really isn't true and gives off a horrible impression being bashed on when no one knows what they're talking about. Although you will really see the skill put in to sword fighting once you reach a higher tier and it's more entertaining to watch AND play Bear in mind this is coming from a #### |

swords are done. they'll never be what they used to be. you're only delaying the inevitable.

I haven't been in the community for a while but even with Rev running it I have serious doubts about yet another sword community working. I think a support group is a great idea but it'll never set off completely.
I'm not sure if it'll be swords yet but I have a project on its way soon that should be a little different then a normal sword clan.
We'll have to see where this goes but I can't see myself supporting this or joining it yet until I see results. |
