:// SECTION III: JEDI HIERARCHY ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ ⚶ Promotions - Introduction ⚶ Here is a step by step explanation of the ranks within the group, and their meaning: ► Initiate - The youngest members of the Order, these Force-sensitive children were given the rank of Initiate when they began their communal training.Recruited from worlds throughout the galaxy where blood testing was required upon birth, Initiates were removed from their families and brought to a Jedi academy for formal training. ► Youngling I & II - Also part of the lower tiers of the Order, these higher echelon initiates are undergoing their crystal gatherings and are learning what it means to be a Jedi, and potentially waiting to be chosen as Padawans if the opportunity arises within their time at these ranks. ► Padawan - After being selected for individual tutelage under a single Jedi Knight or Jedi Master, Initiates were given the title of Padawan. Eligible for this rank following the successful completion of the Initiate Trials. ► Knight - The most basic and fundamental rank of the Order, comprised of Sentinels,Guardians,Consulars, and many sub-categorical fields. The Jedi Knights were the foundation of the Order, and the largest active group of Jedi. ► Master - An experienced Knight who demonstrated great wisdom and understanding of the Force could be elevated to the rank of Master by the High Council. ► Elder - A revered rank for retired or experienced former leaders who have stepped down from their positions in order to dedicate their time to the management of the Order’s infrastructure instead of direction. For those of you questioning why the Council is not listed here, or the individual Jedi Paths, it is because neither are actual ranks in themselves, but are instead collectives or careers. The Council also is a ruling body, not a rank. All Councilmen by default are Jedi Masters unless an exception is made. ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂ ۞ Grand Librarian Of The Jedi Order
