Today, it is with distinguished honor that I announce my candidacy to be one of your newest Senators.
It is the dream the American people have that propels me to continue running and working for you. Everyday, I am always looking for ways to improve our country so that each and every citizen can live the American dream. Now what is this dream?
It is the dream that every citizen has the equal chance to succeed. Our country is turning back to disarray, and I really don’t want to see our great country return to a state of instability and chaos. I want us to keep moving forward. In a country of over 130,000 citizens, we can still go places. We need to harness this potential, and the newest Congress must work to do just that. Well, I don’t know about the others, but if I’m elected, I will work to do just that.
As a Senator, I will support better foreign relations for our allies. I believe both sides of the aisle, our side and the foreign side, are treating each other bad. We need to establish trust. When they need us, it should be expected for the United States to help them out in their time of need, and vice versa. I will make sure that only experienced ambassadors and foreign diplomats make it through the Senate. It is our constitutional right to give our consent and our say to those that the President nominates.
Currently, some agencies cannot function because of the directorate and I will fully use the power of the consent of the Senate to oust the unqualified. I will make sure the experience and the background of said person is checked and noted when the position is up for grabs. We need to make sure that the directors are qualified to run our amazing agencies. Along with this, I want to pass laws that directly outline the functions of each agency; no longer will there be confusion and misconduct.
We have a movement, a movement to bring change for the average American citizen. To establish more jobs, to make better and more fair tryouts, and to ensure that every citizen has a voice and is being heard. Their voices should echo throughout the government. This election is a battle in the war. The war on corruption, on congressional immaturity, and on the falling democracy. It’s time that we put aside our agenda and our partisanship to come together --- it’s time to fix America.
Join me in this fix, because together we are an unstoppable force to successfully combat the issues we face today, and what we may face in the future. Together, we will fix those issues and get this country on its feet again.
It’s time that someone steps on the plate and takes the first swing ---- but it all starts with you; never forget that. My campaign is one of putting people before politics. This campaign is about putting the microphone back into the citizen's hand. This campaign is not a campaign for me to get power, this is a campaign about putting power back in the citizen’s hands. We will put America back on track, it’s time to get back to work for the citizens and halt the corruption that currently plagues Congress.
