Metalcore can be either metal or hardcore, deathcore is metal, mallcore is another term for nu metal, which sadly, is metal. Also, by the definition of core, sludge could be considered a core genre, but it's almost universally considered metal. |

Thrash Metal also uses elements from Hardcore punk such as fast drum beats, attitude etc. Judging by your logic, does that mean that Thrash metal which I know you like is not metal? Most metalcore bands usually lean towards one side of extreme metal or hardcore punk for example: Converge leaned towards the Hardcore punk side but bands like Bullet For My Valentine lean towards the metal side of the genre so?

Also can we just accept that thrashcore, grindcore, nardcore and hardcore punk are amazing? I know that they all have silly names but this is when core was actually raw and fun not boring and dramatic.
Other than that ye metalcore and deathcore are terrible
