THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENT IS ADDRESSED TO SECURITY CAPTAINS AND ABOVE. The following document is meant to cover when, how, and why you will host trainings as well as what to do at them! Captains especially should take note of the following information. Not abiding by these rules and regulations can result in disciplinary action! [WHEN TO HOST TRAININGS] Trainers should always provide a brief period of notice before hosting. This will allow more trainees to attend and will reveal more participation in the long run. When providing notice think of the following: -Trainers should provide a notice of two hours to a week before hosting. -Do not make a shout regarding your trainings over two days from the training, instead, make a wall post when planning this far ahead. -Try to host trainings at decent times that work with multiple time-zones. Security Council members ## #### ## the Director may host trainings, but seeing as it is the Security Captain's main duty to host trainings, check with them before doing so. They have the complete right to any training day or time they desire before any other high rank. [HOW TO HOST TRAININGS] Trainings are designed to strengthen and test member's skills. They are not to anger, annoy, or wear down members. During a training the following activities must be addressed: -The Obby -Gun Fighting -Recontainment Drills -Group of Interest (GOI) If all of the activities above have been covered and time allows the training to continue, the following are activities which may be addressed: -Sword Fighting -Hostage Rescue -Anomaly Containment The secondary activities do not need be covered during a training. If the trainer so pleases, they may design an activity of their own. This activity should be reviewed by a higher up in the department to confirm it's productive and useful. At the beginning of a training a warm-up is recommended. Common warm-ups include the following: -Faces -Captain Says During intermissions, PTS (Permission to speak) tends to be enacted. This allows the trainer to speak without being interrupted so they can quickly move to the next activity. If a trainer does not know how these activities are conducted, they should contact someone in a higher position than themselves, or another Security Captain. Trainings should not be based off of military groups. Trainees should not be forced to speak in capitol letters, run laps, or do "jumping jacks". These disciplinary methods are ineffective, seeing as trainees simply have to press a button on their keyboard to complete the task at hand. [WHY WE HOST TRAININGS] Finally, we host trainings to aid our units in their on-site ability. Trainers should show nothing but utmost maturity and seriousness when hosting. These trainings are solely to help our members. A training where the host displays lack of ability, maturity, and seriousness can leave a negative impression on trainees. This also tends to slow productivity. Trainers MUST take trainings seriously. Not doing so can result in serious disciplinary action.
