if they can somehow beat the impenetrable force known as the atlanta braves tomorrow, and then they beat cleveland on monday, coupled with an O's or Jays loss, they still have a chance. that's not even including the mariners (assuming they do come back, i dont think they will though)
it's going to take a lot of things to fall into place but they still have a shot |

yeah, I know they still have a slight shot dependent in certain things happening a certain way. but I just don't see the scenario that would help them get in occurring. |

As much as I believe the Jays can do it by putting Baron Sanchez(EVIL DOPPELGANGER OF AARON SANCHEZ, I MEAN LOOK AT THAT FACIAL HAIR) they're facing David Price.
I don't think their typical Right Handed Power lineup will be able to muster much against Price even if he is a lefty. |

yeah it's looking pretty bleak for the tigers right about now
also i like how i literally said on this thread 'i dont see the mariners coming back' and they literally just tied it 7-7 |

well, given how Price hasn't exactly had a great season overall, they still could have a shot against him |
|
KenamaticJoin Date: 2009-06-09 Post Count: 31948 |
His start is going to be limited according to an article on Sports Net. |

Well, that would figure since they probably want him as fresh as possible for the playoffs. |

The Jays did the same thing when they had him for the end of the 2015 season and their playoff run.
We had to use him out of the bullpen in G4/5G of the ALDS because Gibbons wanted to go with the "better" pitcher at the time who was Stroman.
Not to mention Price isn't exactly great when it comes to the playoffs, albeit this year might be different. |

I swear I removed the "/G5" |

Yeah, he's gonna really have to step it up in postseason play.
(I remember when he made a start in a rather forgettable divisional series with the O's a couple years ago. At least he did well in that start even though he lost.) |

I just wish the Jays had their annual 11 game win streak.
¯\_(⏒ᗜ⏒)_/¯ But we can't always have it our way unless they some how pull it out in the playoffs. |

speaking of Jim Johnson... I can't believe the Tigers actually had him for a short period of time. thank God they didn't let him comeback, because he was atrocious in his Tigers stint. |
